The vocals are either still there or parts of the instrumentals are removed making it sound like crap, not mention it's in MONO. This CANT be done properly by ANY software, You need the original recordings of each channel....and then you play them without the vocals.....so it wont happen ...unless you're the producer or owner of the track..

If the effects options are greyed out and you can't click on them, it means you haven't selected the track. make sure to click in the box around the mute and solo buttons to grey out the track(select it) then you should be able to pick the effects.

filtering and stuff can remove vocals to an extent, but it will also take out frequencies you don't want removed

songs will have different results trying this shit

best thing is just to try and find instrumentals of songs that are from the actual studio sessions, and there are a lot tbf depending on artist/genre :)

The INVERT were all gray, so instead of Split Stereo Track earlier, I selected Split Mono Stereo Track (or something) and THEN press the EFFECT --> INVERT. It works o:

Ok people, it all depends on how the track was recorded for it to work. It WILL NOT WORK FOR ALL TRACKS. It's not the method that doesn't work. It's probably not user error either. It's just how the track is made.
