Thank you this sequence is quite challenging for me but really worth the effort because I know it will only get better. feels great after .. Love the voice but you could loose the soundtrack it is not needed.
i gotta admit tho - there are some moves in this vid that dont actually de-stress me at all but get my heart pumping a lil faster despite the long breaths..
For some reason when I do the downward dog split with my right leg is hurts the left side of my hips, but when I do the downward dog split with my left leg it feels good. Any advice?
Its taken a while but I'm finally up to this one ....Though not as graceful as you...I'm doing this every morning...Following this exact routine.....Cant begin to tell you how much its all helped Tara....Thanks so much!!!!.....You are the best!!!....
This is my favorite quick yoga video. When I'm writing papers for school I'll take a break and run through this routine. It really shakes out the stiffness and helps get your brain on track. Thanks Tara.
Hey Tara just wanted to let you know that I started doing yoga because of your videos (I'm a kick boxing kinda girl not a yoga girl) and I love 'em! In fact I kept talking about it that my guy friend finally tried it once and he LOVES it,, probably a bit more than me. :) He says it's akward to say that he's got to go do yoga but totally worth it lol. Thanks!!
Are you having stress due to a skin disorder? The American Institute of Advanced Medicine has treated thousands of patients. They can eradicate your skin problem for good. They have 25 years of experience ussing FDA approved medication with no known side effect and a 95% success rate. theaiam.com
I'm a beginner and have been doing this routine for 2 months every night. Seen improvements in my back and muscle tone. I love her tone and the music in the video One question - what's the jazz song at the end of the video?
I'm a teenager and get sometimes ill of my stress. I have no idea why I have so much stress but does these exercises help with that? (: thanks if you answer
@merrygoround90 yes it's normal, even when I was getting into yoga a bit more after enough of the breathing and the stretching you may feel a bit light headded or tinglyish or fuzzy -just give it a short break and don't force too much on yourself though try to lengthen it a little bit so your body can get used to it :) good luck have fun with it
I dont find these videos descriptive enough, would be helpful to say which muscles i should be working and where i should be feeling a stretch to ensure that viewers are doing it right as i am unsure when i am doing it and constantly looking at the screen which makes it difficult. I also think it would be great to show alternative moves for those of us not fortunate enough to raise my leg to a standing split etc. made me feel a bit useless tbh :(!!
This was perfect, usually yoga tenses me up when holding poses too long in awkard positions, but this was smooth yet challanging and took my mind to a better place! thanks
hey tara, thanks for all the vids i just recently subscribed. but i realized if i do downward dog for too long my shoulders start to feel like.. too much tension. i do have a bad back but do you have any advice?
Yoga is not good for people with arthritis or tendinitis in the hands. I joined a class and wasted 250 bucks because almost everything involves the wrists... :(
@LaurenJustinKisa That is not true. Vinyasa style yoga involves a lot of wrists. But if you try other styles of yoga (eg go to iyengar school or Bikram or many many other styles, then wrists are not rarely used.
i used to use (or abuse, whatever) prescription drugs to de-stress. then i sort of googled yoga for no reason, found your vids, gave it a shot, it works, i dig it. thanks.
@426Catherine I get it too! But I've been told that it's just because all the metabolic wastes starts to exit from body, because of the powerful in- and exhalation. So it's good, but for the headache helps if you drink lots and lots of water. also green tea helps for me...
@426Catherine Concentrate on breathing in to your center (lower abdomen). Energy can get stuck and often does during meditation. If you place the center of your palms on your navel and breath deep into the belly while lying down that will clear it out. You can also put your palms and forehead on the ground and send the stuck energy into the earth. Might sound crazy but give it a try.
Blah. i get so fussy with trying to get the poses right that it defeats the purpose. Will keep trying though! I told you I can't get my mind to shut up...I will keep trying. :)
@Amanda11762 My friend, perhaps the first exercise you should learn is meditation.. this will fix it so that as thoughts arise, they flow on.. and do not stay. Imagine a forcefield around your mind and any thoughts, images, sounds encounter this field and are reflected away. The other tip that has helped many is that you pause at the peek of your inhale.. at this pause is how you should feel the whole time (if that makes sense) Good luck!
@sloppymantis hehe. I'm working on the meditation bit. When I took a class with Tara I told her how I couldn't get my mind to shut up. She helped me out. :)
@Amanda11762 when I practice yoga, I pretend I'm a hippo floating around in a mud lake in Africa. no lie. it's very peaceful, and I like being chubby in my daydreams.
Very amazing Tara, you move with such elegance. The way you did that crow pose was enchanting. So that's some advanced movement, but that's why you are an inspiration of mine now.
Great routine. I found it very relaxing and I like that it is short because all my yoga routines are like 60 to 90 minutes long. Its nice to have a nice ten minute routine to do when you are busy. I look forward to watching your other videos.
Thank you this morning I am so relaxed after this little practice I am just enjoying the morning.
