Like Rolls Royce, the reason for covering the Nav is to keep the simplicity of the car. Having the Sat Nav Screen open at all times make the car less of the classic and more of the German modern type which is not what Bentley wanted so it'll end up like the flying spur with having too much on the dash.

Plus it makes it a little bit more special compared to normal ones.

k so on my car the nav pops open from the dash somewhat like this cars...i thought it was cool until one of my friends pointed out that its natural for a merc to have it cause they're always putting new odd stuff on it...BUT a bentley is supposed to be old and british. big engine wood inside and perfect ride comfort...not 10GB of memory...and a fold away nav

Well.... You're right. That is what a bentley should be but remember that we are in the 21st century. The car wouldn't be worth the price if it lacks the technology It's competitors have especially because compared to Rolls Royce, Bentleys are drivers cars. Hiding the nav is one way of keeping it's british simplicity while still keeping the car as modern as possible. You cannot understand the purpose if you compare the nav of the bentley to the nav of your merc.

Bridgetone decides which of the 2 Softs become the Option each race. So, all I was trying to define was that @ Monza it was a subtle diff between the Prime and Option because the harder Soft was picked by B.

Well there are actually 4 compounds...super soft,soft, medium and hard. Bridgestone then decide which 2 compounds should be brought to each circuit and it is usually has a gap of 1 compound unless it's at a high downforce circuit such as the principality! The harder option is known as the "prime" where the softer option is known as the "option" and as you may know, both have to be used unless the intermediate or full wets are required during the race.
