  • What was your seatnumber?

  • Would be a fucking nightmare if one of these would fly in a building....

  • flew with emirates be4 ~ to melbourne and back (england) omg i didnt wana leave the staff they r so nice

  • Emirates' A340-300 is really rare, emiates only has 8 of these

  • Nope thats not a -300 look at the wing

  • flight hours how much?

  • shame you cant feel take off vibe through camera. i love it

  • Underpowered!!The -600 series is more powerful. Must have been climbing at no more than 2,000fpm. Thats terrible.

  • is it just me or why y is it that i dont see the big emirates logo anymore were the under-carriage is located?

  • I think its because only few newer aircraft have the bellylogos

  • I got in so much trouble for trying to take a video out of the window on my last flight, how did you manage to do it without them seeing?

  • @elkster really.. i always ask and their like, yea thats fine!

  • im scared of flying im going on emrites in one week :(

Only 3 hour flight but AHHHHHHHHHHH!

    lol

  • I notice that the plane was really long time on the way from the airport to take off. Maybe it had lots of people in it & heavy baggage... Anyways great vid !

  • Thats because it is such a long plane!

  • I agree with you. As a metter of fact, I fly the A330/A340 and to be honest with you, I prefer the A340. A330 is of course a better climber, but the A340 because of it's size.

  • Nice, i like airbus more than boneing and more beuthful in shape

  • lmfao stfu u dont no a single thing about aircraft.

  • ok man that what i think lmfao dont talk with ican say that ever i can say ok stay away

  • I trust Airbus so much more than Boeing. Didn't used to think so, but after flying on A300/20/40 craft and comparing with transatlantic flights on the Boeing 737/47, I found Airbus so much quieter and comfortable. I thought I was scared of flying in the old days. Perhaps I was scared of Boeing!

  • now thats what i call awesomeness

    nice video and flight

  • wonderful, was was ur seat no.?

  • I used to fly the A340 previously for Cathay pacific.

I must be truthful, it is a powerful and massive aircraft which is good, but the climb rate is dreadful!!!!

It seems as if it climbs 1,050 fph(ft per hour) lol

  • You're telling me! The take off and climb rate are scary. I have been on board and watched as an observer, and it seems as if you just stagger around after leaving the runway trying to gain altitude. I was on the freeway near Dulles one day and saw one leaving the ground in front of me, and I was almost certain it was going to fall.

  • tnx 4 posting, luv dis vid :)

  • great airline and fantastic service.I flew from LHR toDubai a few months back. Found it to be a very quiet and smooth flight

  • i`ll be pilot for this airline!! :D

  • i hope your dream become true!!

    all the best.

  • thnks mate :D!!

  • These birds (a343) climb a bit slower than most other planes.

  • All A340s do... especially the A340-600!

    Great Vid!

  • if you are saying that all the a340's climb slow you are wrong about one the a342 is like a rocket but all the others are really slow

  • I think the engines wern't too loud...

    Is it my just me??

  • The A343 is alot quieter than you might expect it to be. It surprised me how quiet it was compared to what i was expecting the first time i flew on it.

  • cool, do you live in dubai? alos was it a good smooth flight, I hate turbulence, and is the entertainment great as they say?

  • HI...a stupid question, do they sell these sleazy headphones in emirate flights? cause i m gonna fly next wednesday with emirates and would like to watch tv, listen to music or sth. like that. :D ...

  • they are for free!

  • Oh, i see. Thank you :)

  • are the pilots westerners?

  • Aren't the pilots of any given airline usually nationals of that country?

  • no way pilots are from all different countries but only the richer airlines can employ forengers (excuse my spelling)

  • I will visit dubai next hear. can't wait

  • must of beet hot in dubai

  • Hi. i have traveled by emirates on numerous occasions and it is a fantastic airlines. I have noticed that while take-off they always lower first degree of flaps. My best guess is that it is to increase the surgace area of the wings to create more lift. correct me if im wrong. Thankyou !

  • correct

  • I love your videos, can you tell how you get your Camara so smooth, do you have any equipment ? Thanks

  • I love all arab airlines. maybe its because im arab =D well great vid.

  • i like those A340's, quite nice. I Also like this video

look at all my aussie plane videos, just click on my name!!!

  • are you shore that it was an 300 and not an 500??? because i had the same trip but on an 340-500

  • 343!

  • nah its a 300 theres ddifferent flights

  • 7usambaker he must take off at a higher speed than v1 ^^

  • where were u flying to

  • should be Frankfurt EDDF (Germany)

  • man i mean that he can takeoff at a higher speed than the V1 and Vr V2 is after takeoff ;)

  • gentlemen it was a normal takeoff and as you say the runway is long so he doesn't need to takeoff fast and about the climb it's also normal because the caotain controls the pitch it's ok if the captain lowered the pith i sometimes takeoff like this

  • but why he didnt retracted flaps than ?

  • i think this one must be really heavy loaded , check lenght of runway and slow climbing

  • ,,he doesn't need to takeoff fast ,, i think there is V1 and V2 which is done by FMC

  • wow how much runway did that aircraft need!!!!!

also it's rate of climb was so slow

  • most probably it is an a330 coz the wingspan is very short and the most important u must see the second engine too but i didnt

  • fellows...

    1.)this is definitely an A343!

    2.)did you ever heard about a zoom-function?? ^^

    3.)this A343 had no ICE....

  • ADD: concerning engine #1 --->you can see it through the flaps during climbing

  • The wingspan of the A330 and A340 are identical my friend. Trying to impress? As a matter of fact the only real difference between the A330-300 and the A340-300 is the number of engines.

If you're thinking you're such an expert, it can be easily explained if you take a peak at wikipedia.

  • this is the main difference, but not the only one. there are other differences too.

Firstly: the a330-300 has lower range compared to A340-300 Secondly: the a330-300 rear landing gear consists of 8 wheels, though the a340-300 rear landing gear consists of 10 wheels and finally,

the a340-300 has a higher maximum take-off weigh than the a330-300...

  • I said REAL difference, not only difference

  • I'm sorry but this is an A340-300. It's not an A330. The wing chord is shallower on the A340 and the winglets are slightly wider. The flaps extend further on the 340 also.

Also, if you look at the landing video from this flight, you can blatantly see the outboard engines behind the 2nd wing spar.

  • great video!!

  • Emirates is the best airlines they ve got new planes more pro. staff service... Use it for your safety...

  • it is not an 340 , it is an 330 , chek befor you write the wrong typ pal .thx

  • I think I know more about aviation than you, so please shut up.This is an a 340-300 ex SIA, and if you would check the EK timetable, you would mention that no A330 is flying to EDDF anymore. Please don't try to correct my anymore.

  • This is indeed an A330. Compare this to another video showing a cathay A340-300 "Cathay Pacific Airbus A340-300 takes off" by bowenchau on youtube. Both are taken at almost the same seat and you can clearly see the outboard engine in an A340-300. But in this video, the outboard engine is not present at all, meaning this is the twin engined A330. Emirates has a huge fleet, and it should not be surprising if they do some swaps now and then.

  • Nevertheless, you can also see the differences on the wing. They are different concerning the flap-structure and the fuel exhauster an the flap....

  • It isn't, it's an A340-300 :-)

  • Yes, of course it is! ^^

  • is this flight before the I.C.E fleet program or after it?

  • hey there i noticed your msg, so has emirates now upgraded ICE onto their airbus 340-300's ?

  • yes

    \

  • you got f***ing ownd.

  • Emirates777 sama, Very nice video. It was a very smooth take-off.

  • Looked like a steep climb, bet that vew of the wing would be great for landing

  • 1 of the best smooth take off i have ever seen

  • Beautiful view. It's usually at that point in the flight when I wish the plane could stay at that height throughout
