This is pretty awesome. Though, since the guards there weren't very game-savvy (or, savvy at all, on some occasions), I can't imagine how freaked out they were/would have been.

And all enforcers' secondary (or for some, primary) function is security. Someone running at PAX at all presents the possibility of, at the very least, running into someone and bowling them over. *shrug* Not knob-ish at all.

Don't give the enforcer/security guard a hard time. The fire marshall showed up and was giving them a hard time about keeping the lines from blocking exits. I was there, the are they ran into was near one of the queue lines for a theatre, they probably were afraid they were going to crash into a queue or poke someone with a claw by accident. They're just making sure everyone had a great time. PAX East was great, this costume was great, and the enforcers were very nice to everyone...

I heard about this at PAX! Specifically, from the enforcer who had to give her the bad news that she needed to stop doing it. (The building staff aren't gamers and didn't know what she was doing. They were freaking out about it. Take her out of context of a nerd convention - how scarey is she! The enforcers involved had to intercede before she was removed by the building security :<) I'm so excited someone got video of her, though, because I totally missed it!

Look: The guy was running backward through a crowd. He was swerving to his right, getting closer to the waist-high railing of a stairwell. At the start he ran backward right past the head of the stairwell.
