Fun times seeing him and Out of the Fire at Dawggone in Spartanburg.

Terrific video here. I hope Tom and all the Byers are doing well, Bruce!

  • Cool song and band.. I remember these guys well. They had a strong following. I got Dave's Mosrite signed by The Ventures for him when the two did a back to back at the Bacchanal. Steve of course is a good friend. Good to see they filmed while they were hot.

  • Oh yeah!

  • Very cool! Awesome to see you guys on here. Really makes me miss the old days at The Legion. A evening out to see the unknowns was always a good one. and thanks for the CD Dave

  • Great band, and even better group of guys. We used to catch the band all over So. Cal, Blackies, Hong Kong Cafe, Whiskey, Club 88, you name it. I recall that some of the guys were big hockey fans. They were my favorite band of this ear. All my 3 sons, age 13 through 25 love these guys as well.

  • Great album!!! Way ahead of their time.

Met Mark and Dave 3 years ago and they signed my album.

    Wow this must be rare.

  • Great Band, I loved them!!

  • A miracle! Such a long time I'm dreaming watching a live performance from my favorite band ever! How on earth they remained... unknowed? The Unknows LP is the ultimate album, yet no chance to find it anymore. Philippe Garnier, it's time to release your stuff!

  • Bomp records has a cd!! I just got it. It doesn't have the dream sequence stuff except as demos but has this song and tons more.

  • ...almost forgot...the album artwork for these guys was awesome!!! Looked like an album cover for The Ventures!!! And just like The Ventures...The Unknowns played Mosrite guitars!!!

  • Bruce Joyner kicks ass!!!

  • Hello...Thank you clift1967..i am the real Bruce Joyner..and surfdrummer007 the drummer's name is Steve Bidrowski(nicked named The Mole, cause he always looked like he was trying to dig a hole in his snare drum with his sticks)and yes, he is freaking great!

All my love to you all...BJ

  • Ok,so let's make it fast. The Unknows LP is my best favorite album ever. It is the first time ever I see a stage video of these times, and it's really moving me. You're my hero from my teenage years, I'm French and you know I'm not the only one there having being just definitly strucked by your band. I've heard about other videos of your early gigs, I'm dreaming watching them one of these days. I'm leaving in a remote African country, come around whenever you want, plenty alligators also!

  • Loved you guys also Bruce- was hoping for a reunion show for the 20 anniversary of the Casbah in SD. Saw the Penetrators last night and made me pine for one of San DIego's finest.

  • I am Bruce Joyner..I was a passenger in a car wreck that put me on a cane...and i lost my right eye at the age of 6 in a school yard fight ..when a kid threw the broken top of a coke bottle that struck me in the face..I will have a new CD out soon(this winter or first of next year) I am now in the group "Bruce Joyner and The Reconstruction"Thanks for posting this video, and of course my favorite Batman character is The Joker..so don't be so serious.I am doing fine,

  • If you are really Bruce Joyner= all my love

if you are a fake from France= la haine pour toi

Really Bruce, I love your music, keep on keepin' on

a 41 yo bastard named Tom

  • What was the deal with Bruce Joyner? Had he been in an accident or something? Always had a cane in photos and he looked like he had a glass eye. Just wondering...

  • Ah, I forgot, the name of the song is "The Streets".

  • Wonderful stuff. Great Band. Unfortunately their name seems to be a self-fulfilling prophecy, almost nobody knows them. Are their any more videos out there? Would be so good to see them performing more.

  • Which is the name of this song, I don't find it in my " THE UNKNOWNS "" record's.

  • shadows stalk the night

  • Which is the name of this song, I don't find it in my " THE UNKNOWNS "" record's.

  • YESSSS! The Unknowns! Knew they'd be placed here by some discerning audiophiles! Ultimate Mosrite, that "aircraft hanger" sound... Bruce's voice.

One of the wildest disc covers in "Dream Sequence". If yer just discovering the band by accident, find out MORE!!!! YEAHH! UNKNOWNS!!!

  • "Dream Sequence" is my favorite music of " The Unknowns ", the best Mosrite sound and a great Bruce Joyner preformance. The best 80's alternative music made in America in the 80's. Thank's Mr Joyner, I am not the only "Fan" that you have in Portugal, but, it is impossible to find your Record's in Portugal and in the whole Europe. At this time an only available record exists for everyone in Ebay. Mr. Joyner you are a rare person.

  • I've been looking for stuff about the Unknowns. I still have my "Dream Sequence" album from 81. Awesome album. my faves are "Gun Fighting Man" "Tax Deductible" the entire album is great.

  • i'd truly love to get my hands on a copy of that(hint, hint)....a great band!

  • @DEATHINKING

    The Streets

  • I used to live with him/play in a band with him in Mount Holly, NC. A true Georgia-swamp-gentleman!
