The awkward moment when it really hits you that Gee just sung "And now this could be the last of all the rides we take, so hold on tight and don't look back" NONONO!!! DON'T GO!! NOT YET! :'''(
I fucking hated this band in high school. Hated them. Some kid asked me if I wanted to "join the black parade" and I smashed his face into a radiator and got suspended for two weeks. I spit in some emo girls face because she had cut herself and we knew about it. Got a month for that. Now that I'm older, and find myself here. I can't say I hate this.
Who are you people to set up 'standards' to be considered a 'true fan'?
We all have different opinions. This is a song, many will like it, many will not like it. It's just how it goes. I don't see why people need to give a big fuss about it.
Lets just all SHUT THE FUCK UP and enjoy the amazing music they make cause we all have different opinions.....It might or might not be their best album but for everyone of us its different. If your a true fan you don't talk shit about MCR you can be a fan and not love all of their music. Lets just all play nice and listen to the music and stop fucking complaining cause ur not gonna get anywhere complaining
I'd read all these AMAZING comments about being a true fan and what not... but they're just so damn long.... I wanna just listen to the music... *happy place :3*
So what if their new album is different? If you actually listen to the lyrics in these songs, they have so much depth. They mean so much to the people who have listened to this band for years, like me. So don't bash on MCR because you think their new album sucks. If you were a real fan of MCR it wouldn't matter what kind of changes they made to their albums. This song means so much to me, It's one of my favorite songs on Danger Days.~
if you are a real fan of great music, you should have realized that this band is a fine example of musicians breaking their limits one after another to give us great music. they constantly try new things, never afraid of experimenting, but still feel their soul. new music, same old musicians. the album is way too underrated. when it first came out and i listen to sample songs. i thought, the guys have it the bag. but i was wrong. some people are afraid of change.

Listening to this song with the windows rolled down to let the summer breeze flow through the vehicle. Sunset. Driving home on a highway. Listening to this song, Summertime, and
@xxPoisonDrummerxx it also shows that they actually make music for the art not just doing the same thing over and over just to make money. groups like this gorillaz and linikin park always get my respect
@helsinki Yeah. Everyone's like "I hate how they changed!" and I'm like "They didn't! They got out of their depression is what happened!"
That's what I think this song is about. Getting rid of the depression. Especially the part where he says "Does the television make you feel the pills you ate?" Yeah..lol.
"Bullets was what got them noticed. Revenge was the beginning of a legend. The Black Parade reached the climax of their chronicles. Danger Days is something anyone can just listen to, have fun and rock out. My Chemical Romance has changed their sound, but the passion and love they put into their music never will change."
IMO tied with summertime as the best song on the album and its REALLY good i have been listening to this album like everyday for the past few months and im STILL not sick of it MCR FOREVER :)
@hpattison96 there is no old or new MCR. There is only one my chem and they are just happy. All that has changed is their moods and their age. Yeah, some of their new stuff is just jumpy and fun. But some of the lyrics still send messages. "We are the kids from yesterday, today." They are still my chemical romance, they're just having a bit of fun.
Of course danger days is too happy! They are happy! We are happy! or are we emos? the problem was that the were too sad (emos) now they are happy and we're still complaining, wtf I dont understand you guys arrrrrg
This song helps me with my anxiety problems. When ever I start to feel nervous or am about to throw up I just listen to this song. I helps me so much. Another reason for me to be grateful to MCR.
I thank god (he let this band be created and god give them a chance to change someones lives and makes someone realizes to change and hope, although they been through the dark times, but now , they've change too , they change with us , this band they don't want us to be left behind , this band for me is the best , well is still pray they don't disband , to continue their goals , to be with us through the dark times , their music helps me to conquer ... )

M.CR. are the kids from yesterday, today. (the kids from yesterday are: The Situationists International and groups like them, like the Ant Farm Group; just look at their van.)
Danger Days has turned a year old. I'm grateful. This song changed me and many others. It gave me a reason to live happily and look forward to the better things in life like Gerard, Mikey, Frank, and Ray did. One year of sharing their happiness with us. One year of us following that joy. Happy Birthday Danger Days, from all the killjoys, black parade marchers, revenge-seekers, and demolition lovers. Thank you MCR, for creating this, the world wouldn't be the same without it.
I'm pretty sure the percussive sound on beats 2 and 4 at the start is a sample from the Joy Division song She's Lost Control, which makes this song even better (if that is the case). They do go to town with the 70's influences on this album haha.
I started crying today while listening to this . It makes me afraid that they wont release that new album they're promising. It was the last song they recorded, and the lyrics ..
"When we were young we used to say"
"And now this could be the last of all the rides we take"
@hisHORRORcupcake thats weird (good kind of weird) that you were thinking the same thing and high five for reading the Umbrella Academy Apocalypse Suite. ! xD
MCR may have changed their style drastically as far as music goes, but they still have that 'magic' to their albums. That kind of magic that takes you somewhere else when you listen to the album. I'm going to miss their dark-esque, but I really like the vibe from their newer stuff too.
This song makes me cry constantly. I love it so much and I agree with its message on so many levels. It describes me and it's one of the songs I live by. I am a Kid From Yesterday and damn proud of it!! :')
I think it's funny to compare this album to the rest ..
they're completely different, but it's annoying to have two completely divided groups of MCR fans. Each album is suited for a different mood. I dislike when us fans of the classics 'bullets' or 'revenge' or 'Black' hate on this album. It's an AWESOME album, but i'm going through a dark time, so of course i prefer that sound right now.
BUT- it's equally annoying to have fans who only listen to "Sing" call the rest of their music 'emo'.
You know, I hate how a lot of 'fans' bash this album. Yeah., it's wayyy different from their other albums, but they're happy. Isn't that a good thing? And besides, don't you hear the lyrics? "We are the kids from yesterday." I think thats them telling us that they're still the band from other albums. And we should be by their sides, cheering them on, and be happy that they even put out an album. We are the MCRmy!
@NeonScilence If anything, Danger Days is a badass, fun as FUCK, cd. LOVE IT. And I've heard all the cds from them, even Bullets. This one KILLS The Black Parade
@NeonScilence i love my chemical romance. they saved me and made me. i dont really prefer this album but i still like it. and im happy for them and that they keep on going. there are even a few songs on here that remind me of their older albums.
MCRmy and always a member of the black parade i am...
@HipHannahRose Same. I've been done that road. My dad died of Cancer back in December. The only thing that really helped me cope was MCR and the Black Parade.
OMYGODOMYGODOMYGOD!!! You know what he's implying there, right? NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!! This is NOT the end! Don't you dare break up now! No! One more album! ONE MOREEEE!!!!! THATS ALL I ASK!!!! I'm crying PLEASE!!
@MgGiecelene ...It implies that either a couple or group will break up, but not the band. Like a group of kids (the kids from yesterday) growing up and growing apart, sort of. Or it could imply that someone might die before they have the chance to ride again together. Not the band, hun
ya know that gerard doesnt want to be referred to as a hero? he said he is just a normal guy and he just wants to put his word out there. sorry gerard but too bad cause you ARE a hero <3 and who could forget the rest of the band? <3
You know...this makes me not want to start a band. Because I wouldn't be able to do anything I wanted without someone ridiculing how I play music. Wait wait wait. Actually...that's exactly why I'd want to start a band. Because fuck them.
to everyone who thinks mcr sold out with this: they didn't. this is them growing up and moving on. this is them leaving their past behind and looking forward to a bright future. that's what danger days is really about. looking forward and making your future great. doing what you want to do, no matter what anyone else says. it means to keep dreaming and have hope. i think this album is beautiful, and i've been a fan long before this. mcr forever <3 keep running :]

My father looked at my spotify-playlist and picked a ramdom MCR-song, and took this, and he excepted that it would be bad, but he thought that this was really good. I'm happy :D
@CharlotteIero If an album about a band of underachieving heroes getting picked off one at a time by the villain is considered "happy," people must be listening to some dark stuff these days lol. Danger Days seems to follow MCR's beautiful, clever and utterly depressing trend from Three Cheers and Black Parade perfectly.
Thank you, my heroes. I hope to be just like you when I grow up: Strong, caring, creative, and artists in every form of the word. Thank you for being heroes.
My friends and I have started a band and are hoping to enter her school's Battle of the School Bands this october.
MCR has had a huge impact in my life and I'm proud to say it. Without them I may not be here, and neither would two of my closest friends. These guys took the challenges of life and put their words of triumph and truth in their music. I hope to do the same this coming month and hope to become the kids from yesterday. <3
Becuz you only hear the music when your heart begin to break.
@Singednose My band started on october 8th and we had our first gig 2 weeks after. It was friggin awesome! Good luck!! (P.S. Don't get discouraged if you lose the talent show. My band never wins anything. But we have found out that most of the contests we were in were rigged. :( Keep running. :)
@simonson9898 Ray and Mikey married each other O_O Joking I totally agree with you and even if they have changed it doesn't mean they're different people.x
@SongsFromDangerDays did you notice that about 25% of MCR fans actually pay close attention to them and aren't a whole lot educated about these bands as some of us are. why be a dick ?
@SongsFromDangerDays LOL ^.^ and seen all the interviews, and read every biography, and stayed up until four in the morning raping the replay button on all their songs... :D
Everyone is saying how MCR has changed and now are different people. I don't agree totally with that. But in a way I do. They aren't the hard rock they were from I Brought You My Bullets or Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge. They did grow up. Gerard and Frank have kids. Ray and Mikey are now married. I still love them no matter what. They just wanted to let us know they are still our idols they used to be, but in a more mature matter. Feel free to disagree, but this is only an opinion from a 13 yr.
oh wow

@HipHannahRose Same. I've been done that road. My dad died of Cancer back in December. The only thing that really helped me cope was MCR and the Black Parade.

lulukat414 4 months ago

GreenPunkDay998 5 months ago
Why is everyone complaining that Danger Days is too happy? If MCR are happy, I'm happy.
CharlotteIero 5 months ago 79

Singednose 5 months ago
@Singednose My band started on october 8th and we had our first gig 2 weeks after. It was friggin awesome! Good luck!! (P.S. Don't get discouraged if you lose the talent show. My band never wins anything. But we have found out that most of the contests we were in were rigged. :( Keep running. :)
