  • My favourite (and imo best) version of this prayer sung, is in the film, Brother Sun, Sister Moon. Even if you don't agree with me, and even if you're not catholic (Im not. yet)

    The movie is still inspiring

  • They are called The 3D's Dick,Dwayne,and Denis. The main one singing is my dad Denis..This concert was performed in 1990.

  • This is such a powerful prayer. Its so grounding. so true.

  • touching

  • Absolutely beautiful - beyond words

  • where could i find the lyrics of this?

  • In the Bible, I'm sure

  • It's from Saint Francis, who lived hundreds of years after the Bible was written.

  • Lord make me an instrument of your peace,

    Where there is hatred let me sow love.

    Where there is injury, pardon.

    Where there is doubt, faith.

    Where there is despair, hope.

    Where there is darkness, light.

    And where there is sadness, joy.

  • O divine master grant that I may

    not so much seek to be consoled as to console;

    to be understood as to understand;

    To be loved as to love

    For it is in giving that we receive-

    it is in pardoning that we are pardoned.

    And it's in dying that we are born to eternal life.

    Amen
