I just joined the church of St. Francis rrun by the Frabsicans Brothers here in Boston, Mass. on arch St. We sing get so much help from the sermonns and they sing like no other Cathlic Church I evr visted in my Life +Amen-- Frankie of Boston
Remember Christians, the will of God is no Catholic, Protestant,Orthodox, Penticostal, Adventist, JW, Etc. NO DIVISION, Only Christians, holy, helping and sharing instead of buying and selling.
"That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me." (John 17:9-21)
Such a beautiful song. Thank you so much for sharing. I also listened to Sarah McLachlan's version, it's very good. How can I not feel God's peace in my heart mind and soul with you as my friend?
My favourite (and imo best) version of this prayer sung, is in the film, Brother Sun, Sister Moon. Even if you don't agree with me, and even if you're not catholic (Im not. yet)

It's from Saint Francis, who lived hundreds of years after the Bible was written.

Lord make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon.
Where there is doubt, faith.
Where there is despair, hope.
Where there is darkness, light.
And where there is sadness, joy.

O divine master grant that I may
not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love
For it is in giving that we receive-
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned.
And it's in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen
