@genki217 in a lot of cases yes. in general male rodents aren't good fathers. there are always exceptions of course. what i would reccomend is giving the male a chance, but only with keeping a close eye on him

At a certain age you have to separate them so they won't mate like rabbits and you end up with 400 babies. Also males do not get along with other males. They will fight till death, when I first had them I had to separate a fight and one bit right through my finger.

Then how will the babies eat? You need to separate the babies from the father...but not with all hamster types. Dwarf fathers are known to help with raising the pups...especially Campbells.

I had a Hamster just like this mother called sweets who died afew years ago at 3 1/2 years old, when i bought him i thought he was a girl but afew weeks later he started to develop some HUGE assets turns out he wasnt a girl lol so i just carried on calling him sweets he was a dad also. R.I.P Sweets miss ya buddy!
