  • This one George paid 4 sure...

  • I agree, that sounds like Boogie or Skeet not Bootsy on bass.

  • Yo, Bernie. There's a Minimoog behind you!

  • I was there that night and if I recall correctly he also played 'Do You Think I'm Sexy' which was a big hit by Rod Stewart at the time.

  • Bernie Worrel my brother you are one of the greatest great keyboardist ever throuh out the 70's I saw you with the Funkadelic/Parliament. Your artistry created a funk-rock sound that kicked ass. I am 60, I've always enjoyed your musical explosions on keyboards. You are Jimi Hendrix with moog, and other keyboards. Thank You brother for your contributions to Parliament/Funkadelic sound.

  • i just saw him with bootsy's rubber band in l.a.- he was the HIGHlight of the night!!!!!

  • This music should go on forever

  • Cab we also talk about bootsy's fucking dirty little tidbit at the beginning here?

  • when the Aliens decide to come to this planet, Bernie should be hired as official "translator" dead serious.

  • this guy played with talking heads too!!!!!!!!!!! an equally wierd group. but not nearly as funky!!!!!

  • The very beginning is Rodney "Skeet" Curtis on BASS! He plays with Maceo Parker now.

Bernie is on some next level communication...this video is incredible. There is no one- no one like Bernie. Genius.

  • @funkscribe

You are also a great funky keyboardist. I see your vidz..Keep the Funk Alive

  • Bernie on keyboards is like Beethoven on acid and Bach smokin' a blunt. Bernie is the greatesst keyboardist ever!

  • LOL, well put! I think of all the Funk Mob, he hit the drugs the lightest, maybe.

  • I agree!

I met Bernie in 2000 when he played at The Knitting Factory.

    I have his autograph!

  • @zulunurse2009 Talent! that's what this is...pure talent combined with imagination, improvisation and innovation. These are elements sorely lacking in todays music, regardless of genre.

  • I don't think the beginning is bernie. Could keyboards produce harmonics like that? In the seventies? I think Worrell starts after the first minute. Before that it is a bass.

  • yeah maybe thats Bootsie at the beginning

  • Naw, I think that is Cordell Boogie Mosson on the bass... Bootsy only toured with P-Funk in the late 70's, he had The Rubber Band...

  • the title of this clip says '79

  • Yeah Bootsy toured as his Rubberband, but not an actual player of Parliament per se... Look at the credits from their later albums, he is on there, but Cordell Mosson is the main bass player for Parliament... You mainly hear Bootsy on the recorded stuff...

  • damn this must be way over the Daily funk allowance, im surprised that shit's legal

  • ahahahha I laughed my ass off at that comment for a solid two minutes

  • @MCtrekka I don't think it is!

  • i dont appreciate this as mch as it seems i should

  • Man playa, you gotta look at it from Bernie's classical training at Julliard, then compare that with the Moog skills and then P-Funk and then you can appreciate it... Check out his solo album and then listen to Placebo Syndrome, then re-watch

  • BERNIE!!!!!...i love him!

  • just the beginning sends shivers down your spine..

  • trippin !! wow

  • genius! thanks for posting this.

  • Brilliant.
