Musicians/Artsts like AR Rahman is NOT advancing Indian music or introducing Indian Music to the rest of the World.(VERY SAD) But fans of good music, can force/influence music directors like AR Rhaman(Taal,Guru etc.), Ismail Dabare(Devdas etc)Hamesh Rashmiya(Tere Naam),to reject music borrowed from Western music/Beats in movies like "Slum Dog Millionare", "Range De Basenti" etc.,True Indian music fans gather together,Bring back Melody!
Geez theres some crazy instrumentisation going on in that piece. Ive noticed that he likes to add subtle accoustic arpeggios in the background. Gotto like the immense echoe they added to the singer s voice.
The original song based on this tune is a Bengali song "Tumi Koto je Dure" sung by the maestro Pancham'da himself and Asha'di.. it was later used for theme recording of "Sagar", and then finally for a beautiful romantic title song of "Aaja Meri Jaan" sung by another maestro S.P.Balasubramaniam.
this song was inspired by a french song which i have listend on radio FR3 in early 2005. since than i am searching a this song. but R.D. inspired work was much better than orignal song.
