This is so simple and nice. I'm learning crochet but I see I can do this easily. Can you tell me how to grow the top circle of the hat bigger as I have a beautiful wool (and hook) of 4, which I think is 6 in U.S....while you're using a I (9) , which i think is like 5.5 in Europe...
I now have completed round 10 and I have a circle with a diameter of 12 cm only...how do I increase up to the right size for the hat?

I like making hats with slightly larger hooks like J or K. I seem to have the problem of my stitches getting "swallowed' when I use a smaller hook. I had a pattern that called for an f hook, and I had to switch hooks to see the stitches. Thanks for the pattern tutorial.

I wish I was able to show what I've learned from you. I've learned so much. My favorite hat to make is the Kingston Beret. I've made it for and older lady and she loves it. I also made it for a friend and she loves it as well. I even used different weight of yarns. Thanks teacher, you get two apples.
