This video is amazing, I actually saved this to my favourites. The person who created this is a genius. Possibly the most lasting and memorable advert.
Is it necessary to say the child is not an actress? I mean, if she was...she's a damn good one. It's hard to get the wonky eye look on command like that. We're not stupid - we know she's really blind. Don't be a fool.
There really isn't a specific book that I'd miss reading. I've loved most books that I read, and even if I could read my favourite book all the time, it would get boring after awhile.
I read many different books to help improve my own writing.
Aww. I feel bad for her. I wish I could bring her there and every world I have been in when I read a book. I would really miss The Magic Tree House stories. Btw that was really amazing. I truly like the meaning of it.

wow this is amazing.i'm glad that children who are blind are getting attention about this.every child should have the opportunity to read and should have the option to at least enjoy it.no matter what language they speak, what reading level their at,or what their problem is children should read.and it can be enjoyable as well.that goes for blind children as well.
I am sorry for every blind person in this world because he can not see the beautiful pictures most humen can see..But they can taste, feel smell and hear everything much better:-)
Wow thanks everyone for your comments and support! It would be great if you could post the story you would miss the most on facebook[dot]com/rnibuk or tweet it with the hashtag #Idmiss. A special mention is required for Roald Dahl and Enid Blyton who are behind a lot of our favourites, but so far on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube the top 5 stories are:
I would miss Narnia, Little Women, and Harry Potter. And Lord of the Rings. And The Portrait of Dorian Gray. And the Little Princess. No, I couldn't live without most of my books. They're like food to me.
I would miss Pirates of The Caribbean, Narnia, and I would miss phantom of the opera.
If your talking books I would say Narnia, High Seas Stowaway, Phantom, and Gods true stories.
As a young girl I loved all the disney stories, including "beauty and the beast" and my favorite book was "A Little Princess". Frances Hogerston Burnett was my favorite childhood author and I still like his work this day. I love reading/watching stories it makes me feel like I a m a part of it (I would love that).
Harry Potter, Shapeshifter, Alex Rider, Sheltie, Noughts & Crosses, NARNIA...
That video was sad, and I fully support the aim of RNIB. But if my kids are blind, support or no support, I'll make sure they get read all these stories, and that their are plenty of Braille books for them to read on their own.
I read so many books as a child its hard to single one out but I would have really missed Little Women, Heidi and The Secret Garden. A world without books is unimaginable. Alexia you are an inspirational 'little woman' yourself.
great video, well made and i havent got a clue what i'd do if i went blind, but you can also tell a story... my daughter cant read yet, but she still listens to stories..... not tryin to be a dick, like i said, great piece
RNIB once again using pity to raise funds. That's OK, but when we grow up into not so cute blind adults and try to find work and acceptance, we are met with that same pity. Authors and publishers are to blame in denying us blind people the right to read by refusing to allow their works to be published in accessible formats. Where is the pity then?
I feel blessed to able to see it,s sad to think that some people don,t realize how blessed they are it,s sad that some people have no eye sight at all and makes me cry cause it just suck to be blind
Wow, that almost made cry for how touching that was... I know somebody who's blind but just legally blind, she can see things but they have to be huge... it's so sad.
Hey Guys, thanks so much for your support already and your suggestions below. It would be great if you could post the story you would miss the most on facebook[dot]com/rnibuk or tweet it with the hashtag #Idmiss - Thanks for getting involved.
Very moving. I can't begin to imagine a life without sight. It makes you realise how much you can take for granted, and how important talking books must be for blind and partially sighted people. What a great idea for a very worthy cause.
I'd miss...'MOG The Forgetful Cat' and so many other beautifully animated books from my childhood.
Wow, very touching.
Alice in Wonderland, The Count of Monte Cristo, The Legend of Drizzt books, Xanth novels by Piers Anthony, Elminster: The Making of a Mage.
