  • Wow, very touching.

Alice in Wonderland, The Count of Monte Cristo, The Legend of Drizzt books, Xanth novels by Piers Anthony, Elminster: The Making of a Mage.

  • This video is amazing, I actually saved this to my favourites. The person who created this is a genius. Possibly the most lasting and memorable advert.

  • I think I would die out of excitement if I had found another world in my closet.

That poor girl missed out on a great story :'(

  • wow

  • Animal Farm!! Charlotte's Web, Blubber, The Pearl...I'd miss them all!

My daughter would miss Narnia, Harry Potter, Nancy Drew and endless hours of reading everything else!!

  • That was incredible! It really impacted me <3

  • Malory Towers is cool but pathetic compared to Narnia

  • If there were no books in a few years, the ones I'd miss the most would be the Narnia ones

  • How the hell didnt she feel that freezing air hit her from the back of the wardrobe?

  • a world without books is a world without imagination

  • @janet2416 That's subjective. People who create art, games, movies have plenty of imagination.

  • Is it necessary to say the child is not an actress? I mean, if she was...she's a damn good one. It's hard to get the wonky eye look on command like that. We're not stupid - we know she's really blind. Don't be a fool.

  • The fountain.

  • AWWWW!

  • just give all blind people unlimited downloads from audible.com. they have all the narnia and tons of other great audio books

  • Great video.

  • i though that was narnia lol xD

  • Great Video!!! Thanks for sharing it :)

  • There really isn't a specific book that I'd miss reading. I've loved most books that I read, and even if I could read my favourite book all the time, it would get boring after awhile.

I read many different books to help improve my own writing.

  • @mixs1002 They are probably teenagers who think reading is 'gay'.

  • Harry Potter, Alice in Wonderland, Narnia books and a lot more :(

Amazing message. The meaning is awesome. :)

  • Awe. Saddening! Narnia is a cool place.

  • i would miss The Turbulent Term of Tyke Tiler by Gene Kemp.

  • Aww. I feel bad for her. I wish I could bring her there and every world I have been in when I read a book. I would really miss The Magic Tree House stories. Btw that was really amazing. I truly like the meaning of it.

  • wow this is amazing.i'm glad that children who are blind are getting attention about this.every child should have the opportunity to read and should have the option to at least enjoy it.no matter what language they speak, what reading level their at,or what their problem is children should read.and it can be enjoyable as well.that goes for blind children as well.

  • Think i would miss the story of my life.

  • Wow thanks everyone for your comments and support! It would be great if you could post the story you would miss the most on facebook[dot]com/rnibuk or tweet it with the hashtag #Idmiss. A special mention is required for Roald Dahl and Enid Blyton who are behind a lot of our favourites, but so far on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube the top 5 stories are:

    5. The Narnia books

    4. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

    3. The Malory Towers books

    2. The Hobbit

    1. The Magic Faraway Tree books

  • @rnibuk MY FAVORITE IS CHARLIE AND THE CHOCLATE FACTORY

  • @Prinsessenboontje Glad you liked it! The song was composed especially for the film. The composer's name is Simon Bass.

  • @rnibuk Is there a way I could find it somewhere without the talking? It's really beautiful!!

  • awww so sad i would love to take her to narnia.:( :'(

  • This is beautiful. Simply stunning and so very powerful. Mine would be stig of the dump!

  • i dun care about storys its the tv i would miss!

  • I would miss Narnia, Little Women, and Harry Potter. And Lord of the Rings. And The Portrait of Dorian Gray. And the Little Princess. No, I couldn't live without most of my books. They're like food to me.

  • I would miss Narnia the most... my dad used to read me the book when i as little.. ^^

  • I would miss Pirates of The Caribbean, Narnia, and I would miss phantom of the opera.

If your talking books I would say Narnia, High Seas Stowaway, Phantom, and Gods true stories.

As a young girl I loved all the disney stories, including "beauty and the beast" and my favorite book was "A Little Princess". Frances Hogerston Burnett was my favorite childhood author and I still like his work this day. I love reading/watching stories it makes me feel like I a m a part of it (I would love that).

  • Super excellent and awesome video in top quality, thanks for sharing , thumbs up .

  • Harry Potter, Shapeshifter, Alex Rider, Sheltie, Noughts & Crosses, NARNIA...

That video was sad, and I fully support the aim of RNIB. But if my kids are blind, support or no support, I'll make sure they get read all these stories, and that their are plenty of Braille books for them to read on their own.

  • really nice vid

  • I'd miss the Eragon series, the movie was awful, but the books were amazing.

  • @bolmung omg .. theres still one mre book yeah?!

  • Really great video. I could not have grown up without Biff, Chip and Kipper!

  • She can't even feel the cold air from a snow filled place?

  • dont need a book

  • I read so many books as a child its hard to single one out but I would have really missed Little Women, Heidi and The Secret Garden. A world without books is unimaginable. Alexia you are an inspirational 'little woman' yourself.

    Isabel

  • Awww, how sad! Not being able to see Narnia or Ga'hoole... no one should be born with that curse.

  • I don't have a facebook or twitter so I have to post this here: I'd miss the Narnia books the most, but also Jane Eyre and The Book Thief.

  • @meddows12345 omg i love the book thief!

  • VERY THANKFUL TO HAVE MY EYESIGHT, EVERYONE SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEE SUCH A WONDERFUL AND BEAUTIFUL SIGHT LIKE NARNIA!

  • great video, well made and i havent got a clue what i'd do if i went blind, but you can also tell a story... my daughter cant read yet, but she still listens to stories..... not tryin to be a dick, like i said, great piece

  • thats so sweet

  • RNIB once again using pity to raise funds. That's OK, but when we grow up into not so cute blind adults and try to find work and acceptance, we are met with that same pity. Authors and publishers are to blame in denying us blind people the right to read by refusing to allow their works to be published in accessible formats. Where is the pity then?

  • As a blind person, what was all that about? As a blind person, I read stacks of books. As a blind person, life isn't so bad.

  • I feel blessed to able to see it,s sad to think that some people don,t realize how blessed they are it,s sad that some people have no eye sight at all and makes me cry cause it just suck to be blind

  • Awww I would take her to Narnia with me! ><

  • Wow, that almost made cry for how touching that was... I know somebody who's blind but just legally blind, she can see things but they have to be huge... it's so sad.

  • There is so much that I would miss if I hadn't had books growing up. This is a great campaign, thanks for highlighting his issue.

  • Hey Guys, thanks so much for your support already and your suggestions below. It would be great if you could post the story you would miss the most on facebook[dot]com/rnibuk or tweet it with the hashtag #Idmiss - Thanks for getting involved.

  • Very moving. I can't begin to imagine a life without sight. It makes you realise how much you can take for granted, and how important talking books must be for blind and partially sighted people. What a great idea for a very worthy cause.

I'd miss...'MOG The Forgetful Cat' and so many other beautifully animated books from my childhood.

  • Great video. Idmiss... James and the giant peach. I love stories, poor girl!

  • Really thought provoking video. Every kid dreams of going to Narnia.

  • This is really well done.
