It's not really ambiguous, but it's still open to various interpretations."
When the men opened the door to the van, he said "Took you long enough"... definately leads one to believe he was expecting them.
Also it seems to be a rule on Prison Break that unless you see someone actually die they're not dead. C-Note and Gretchin being the best examples I can remember right now.
sucks that the season 4 dvd doesnt have something like this to cover the deaths in seasons 3 and 4

this is the easter egg from the dvds of seaason 2. Notice that kellerman's death is not there. Maybe he is still alive!
