mmmmm...I beg to differ. The vehicle should have had an indicator on signalling it was going to go around to the right( at least thats how it is here in Australia) the absense of the indicator should have warned you that the final destination of the car was unknown and you could have dropped back by a few meters and the risk or danger to yourself would have been gone.. Maybe the person was lost or unfamiliar with the area..and just made a mistake..95% of crashes are human due to error
