@ rockshox911 dude, equal length headers do practically nothing to boxer engines. They might do a lot for your civic but that's because it's poorly engineered in the first place. I own a Subaru and I've had equal length headers. Equal length headers are a costly way to do nothing to change you're car's power
@SirWilliamLeys equal length headers are the best route to go for exhaust mods. they provide a better performance gain over unequal length headers, but many people dont like them because it eliminates the traditional Subie rumble everyone loves. unequal length headers do little to gain power but make the exhaust sound amazing
@J90lude Yeah, I don't know if that was him stalling it, or possibly a bad cat shield underneath. The camera audio isn't that great but the rattle seemed abrupt when the car slowed down suggesting he stalled it, or it could just have been a rusty cat shield. My Impreza had a couple pieces of it go and they make a rattle like that off and on.
@KiKaL8 Why on dirt? Cause they don't have limited slip diffs and a new trans/center diff combo is a hell of a lot of money. And even if it had one, it's a Subaru, they're supposed to get used in dirt and snow and gravel and all. Why would they ship them out with symmetrical all-wheel drive if they're supposed to be pavement queens?
@SkaterFilm13 You don't gain much horsepower from adding equal length headers that would be that significant. Maybe 1-2 HP. Which is kinda offset by equal length headers being slightly heavier
@Bananaramafuck Well yeah, but I was referring more to how they just look right off road, what with their rally history and their ability on non-pavement. And actually they really don't have that much ground clearance. Hell, I used to have to drive my 08' Legacy Spec B upon onto a wooden block to get a jack under it for oil changes.
what motor does that got the 4cy or v6?
Fusco927 2 weeks ago
@Fusco927 4 cylinder boxer motor, most likely a 2.5

why would ypu do that on dirt? ha you pay way to much money for that car, assuming you did pay for it and your mommy and daddy didnt.

@SirWilliamLeys Not true at all. Do some research before typing a comment. There are gains around 20hp+ from equal length headers.

mine has equal length headers from the factory sounds nothing like that, the only thing the JDPM spec Legacy doesnt have. Unequal length headers FTW!

What is it about Subaru's? No matter which model you pick, they all look so damn good on dirt.
