  • Wow thats fast wish you would have caught this with a good camera.

  • I didn't know you could record with your 20 Yr. Old. Emerson DVD player.

  • Seems to be about running at app 115 kph, or app 70 mph.

  • well??? not so bad for an i phone?????

  • I wish you can shoot the same thing again with a better camera and tripod. Looking forward to it!

  • that train was really fast dude

  • if this was in better quality it would be a great video. 3/5 stars.

  • I have train tracks about 1,000 ft. away from my house, so the house shakes when they go by and everything. The trains are always coal, oil, or intermodal. Yesterday, an empty coal train came by and I looked out of my window and it appeared to be going about this speed, and then it blew it's horn, which they never do anymore in this area, and I almost fell out of my chair! It's been so long since they were allowed to blow their horn back if you wave! lol

  • That's fucked!

  • ITS A FRACKING RUN AWAY!!!!

  • Wow!!!!!! CN C44-9W and SD75I.

  • thaty is so massive becuz i count 114 vagon per this train awesone extremaly then how he get so high speed Lol impossible awesome!

  • hey how long must be this train becuz i`am really suprised i think that could have 20 vagon but that had so much more damn!!

(in poland max 36 vagon per traina and that train is transporting too much more i think becuz on the bridge how he can slidely drive on the bridge i think bridge is broke when this massive train it`s driving on that high speed with 40-100 vagon it`s very big long train ;pp

  • That is probably the fastest train i've ever seen even in video!

  • Probably the fastest FREIGHT train you've seen in a video but the fastest train you would see would probably be the Shinkansen.

  • Never seen a SD70, ES44, or a CW44-9 with a top speed of 70. Overspeeds set at 74.

  • @NSrailfan1017 72 actually.

  • I'm a CN employee, and i can tell you that the max speed for freight trains is 80mph on CN tracks. Obviously speed varies on different tracks.

VIA trains do 100mph, and Go trains can do 100mph as well, but its extremely rare because of the conditions of the track and locations in the GTA area

  • @540jibber Are you wacked? CN speed was a max of 65 when I hired on. It's a max of 60 now.

  • i was the engineer on this train and i was doing 70 mph the max speed we can do is 60 mph but i was in a hurryd due to another train coming and i had to hit the siding about 15 miles down the line i know a freind of my mine was fired bc he was going over 70 mph the newer locomotives have a max speed of 90 mph on the speedo

  • Dang ! That is fast!

  • about as low a quality you can get and still call it a video

  • lol ..u got that right Proaudiohd

  • for starters the max speed of those engines is 80 mph. freight trains in canada cannot exceede 60 mph as far as i know. i clocked a cn freight train doing 58 mph just outside a place called edson alberta (its on the way to edmonton)

  • Haha no chance of hopping that train. Man I wish the vid quality was better so I could see the graffiti art better. Any way good vid.

  • WTF THAT FKEN TRAIN IS LONG

  • This video has the worst quality that I have ever come across!

  • actually the MAX speed of those loco's are 70MPH so the most it was going and most likely was going was 112KMH.....

  • thats how fast they come by my house in the spring and summer on the cn out front of my house i think they should slow down through these kind of places good job

  • I live along the CN main in southern Ontario, and the trains through there frequently pass at 60mph, give-or-take. I see CN freights at that speed pretty much daily...

  • My goodness that train is fast. =)

  • wow the camera have realla les then 0.2 megapixel :o

  • It is a Camera Phone, sorry. This was before I got my Panasonic Camera (which just broke about 2 weeks ago. I will be getting a new camera, the Samsung SC-MX20 in the next couple days, so anymore videos I put on Youtube (besides the garage fire I will be putting up soon) will be taken by that new camcorder. Btw, the phone model is a Motorola V235.

  • im from ireland, the length of your freight trains WOW, very fast to... ;/00

  • dam I wonder how long it will take to stop him if he had to?

  • NO chance of stopping you just keep going until you can stop normally

  • Very shitty quality video... :-\

  • In Strathroy on most trains come by at bout 50 km but lately after the track machines finished today and yesterday they hae been goin bout 6omph it is scry fast like that one kool train

  • okay the camera is bad, but at least you captured the moment the train passed so that's why i give you 4-stars

  • From the time the whistle sounds until the train occupies the crossing is approx 15secs. The whistle post is 1/4 mile from the crossing - if the train is travelling 60mph it will take 15sec to reach the crossing - which is about how long it took. Most freight locos in N/A have are limited to 65mph by an electronic device which applies the brakes automatically if the design speed is exceeded. I doubt it is going faster than 65mph.

  • That looks to be about 70, that's the fastest a freight can go in the US.

  • About average speed, maybe 100km/h

  • it is not your opinion its a fact

  • lol, I guess, but some people may say it is slower than it really is!

  • damn

  • I've never seen a train move so fast.

  • I am a Conductor for CN, track speed is 65mph. Im guessing it is going 65.

  • this train i like, this is very very fast train, and that very very nice

  • As man is imperfect, so is what he creates. Technology can be overestimated, the potential for hazard underestimated. I have nothing against any one company or railroad route, but I'd hate to think of a wreck at that speed. It's a good video anyway.

  • I guess 2 engines was all THAT train needed. Was it empty? Cause it was long.

  • not sure, but ya i didn't notice that, i guess two trains could pull that much, and the video is cut up so it is longer than what it looks (about 15 more seconds) cause i took it with a camera phone, but ya i guess the train had to not be that full, or maybe completely empty (he was pry late to pick up sum cargo, and was in a hurry ;) lol

  • That train had to be doing at least 75 MPH.

  • Mixed freight trains are not permitted over 69 mph on any railroad in North America, by law.

  • maybe he didnt care for the law

  • That is SUPERFAST... I think its doing more than 70mph.

  • ok now thats fast :P:P

  • Man, it hauling ass!

  • ah it is lol, i was closer b4, then i realized how fast it was coming at me, almost blew me over cause of the wind it was dragging with it! lol

  • Most railroads usually don't let manifests go over 60, so I'd say it's somewhere around there.

  • ah, ya probably bout that fast.

  • Oh, yeah. I've seen trains on this track doing 70 or better.

  • Not exactly sure how fast this one was going, but it was going fast enough where i had to stand far back cause it was throwing rocks and dirt up at me! :0
