I don't know, but i have a strange feeling about this game... There seems to be no points for each lvl, like the spells are already decide which you can take, and no aptitudes or anything... it seems only objects and lvl. I don't know... plus, the mana seems to be regenerating a bit too quickly, cuz you can just extra spam spells, even though you have an ability thats doesn't involve mana anyway... And i not sure bout the red orbs... ill probly buy it anyway cuz its good but, i dont know...

Check your contrast. It may be abnormally high (or on a higher level than when you played D2 last). Of course I'm being sarcastic, but that's because you're being biased. Go play back through D2 right after D3 comes out and then rethink this statement. Hopefully you'll see how far out in left field you are.

The color palette is almost identical to D2, if not with a greater range of color intensity (which is a change in technology, not choice of environment).

Husky got a key because he either knows someone at Blizz, or because when Blizz sent beta keys to the media Husky qualified as a part of the media.

I take it you didn't play D2? As you play through the game the first time its on Normal difficulty, you don't get to choose. Once you beat it the second play through with the same character is on Nightmare, then Hell. Hell is tough.

They've said Normal will not be a challenge. This was the same in D2.

Actually the Blood Moor had a few zombies, quill beasts and occasionally a fallen. Very low enemy counts. The Cold Plains had packs of fallen which is what you're thinking of, I'm sure. D3 beta doesn't really have multiple enemy types, like fallen. Just undead.

I suppose difficulty is pretty subjective. Baal... hell the ancients on the first play through was a cake walk in D2.

Maybe you are reminiscing a time when you weren't as good at video games so it seemed harder?

@ExXo0 I understand that but in both Diablo 1 and Diablo 2 within the first little bit of the game there was swarms of enemies. In this you just don't really get that feeling of danger. Maybe it picks up later on and maybe they'll end up tweaking that on release, I know I shouldn't be judging it because it is just beta but I don't get that feeling of danger based on any streams I've watched.

There was absolutely no danger in the normal play through of D2. Through all five acts. Arguably there was little in Nightmare... Hell got tough.

You have a somewhat valid point about the swarms. # of enemies in this look smaller than in D2, but at the same time there is pretty much only undead enemies in the beta (a few bats here and there). In D2 undead were always in fewer numbers than say the fallen. Bet that there will be swarms of certain enemies.
