I love the haka...in rugby...cause it would actually be intimidating, but in hockey? Come up here to our little part of the world called Canada and try that and we'll see how things go eh!
As an absolute hockey NUT I love your video. But it wouldn't be me not to leave a comment on our Great Aussie hockeyroos. Here's to GOLD in 2012!!! Regards Chiara Purcell
@manfromrs hehehe alguds! thers jus heaps of diff haka's nd most of dem dnt have a jump but its still pretty cool to see the ice blacks do the haka lol ddnt even knw we had a ice hokey team ahahaha
@fluffyduckk there shouldnt be a jump......thats why th All Blacks changed it,jumping means your leaving the ground or better to say stand your ground
Haka isn't about sport culture...it is about maori and polynesian culture...it translates to wherever the polynesian natives, the islanders, the maori, want to take it to...just because you're only familiar with the All Blacks rugbt team does not mean that the Haka was originated by them or for them...it is about the warrior culture of the proud polynesian people and not a sport and which sport it translates to the best or which group of polynesian people should or should not do it...
I think we should be proud the haka is shown al over the world & all the Kiwi national teams are showing our culture & how proud we are. I don't think it matters where it's done, ice, grass, sand etc. As long as it's done for the right reasons & they know what it's all about, we should be behind our teams all the way. I think negative comments just demeans Kiwis when they're not supporting their own.
That's embarassing. I think the Haka is awesome, but it doesn't translate to ice hockey culture. In hockey you shut your mouth and do your talking on the ice. Pull that shit up in Canada and I guaranfuckintee your entire team would get their asses run all game long.

I'd say the opportunity for NZ to do this to Team Canada would be rare.
More chances in winning Powerball!
