This was the best machinima I have ever seen. It was well made throughout the whole episode. Am I the only one who liked the voice acting? I thought it was pretty good, WAY better then any other voice acting machinimas. This deserves a ten out of five. But please make more!! I really enjoyed it!!!

I personally think the story line seemed where is should be at seeing how it is only the first episode. One thing though and I'm sure you seen have read this like a thousand times. Well, those special effects were absolutely amazing, but the voice acting was kinda bad, the story had me thinking "wait...what?", and what's with the theme song? Don't get me wrong, this is a great, well made machinima, but the flaws i mentioned above kinda ruin it. :\

The graphics and effects are top notch and almost Hollywood quality. The only true downfal to this is the lack of explanation behind the villian's reasons for wanting control and the rather unimpressive voice acting. To be more specific, the voices were nice, but they lacked emotion and seemed rather robotic. When emotion did present itself, it came off as forced, therefore, lacking any form of impact it would have had.
This series is already affecting so many machinimators. Zeburon, TheDarkSide, and admittedly, Phantom are all using adopted elements from this machinima.
Very impressive visual effects, especially the shadowy things. I won't beat a dead horse by repeating all the stuff that blackandwhite and the other's were saying, but I'll be watching for your remake.
its a really good srory and the way you explained it is amazing. but you need to fix the speaking audio. its too low compaired to the music. but other wise, really good! i clap. *clap clap clap*

I can tell you this, the visual effects are far better than any I've seen in other machinima series; in fact, machinima is often devoid of any video effect outside those of the game itself. Very well done.

Damn! I have never respected Brawl as a medium for great machinima, but everything about this is absolute perfection. Darkened color pallete and low angle shots for a darker tone, plus an actual attempt at lipsyncing. And the dialog is so natural. This is head and shoulders above any Brawl machinima I've ever seen!
I went to Shippiddge's file to see smashtasm, but I see this video. I watch it and thought to myself, wtf, how come other great machinima makers don't to this kind of shit? As I watched, I thought this was from another show... "Remy". Half way through, I was astounded my the 3rd best voice I've ever heard. The voice actor of the Snake is pretty good with the voice and style. Not perfect, but as perfect as a immitator can get. That or its a bad microphone. I won't subscribe, but you got a viewer.
Everybody should be patient for the next vid. I don't even want to know how long it takes the make a this kind of a machinima. Especially with the incredible editing/effects.
Wow, nice job! One tip - please make it so the sfx and music is louder than the voices. Their voices were loud as hell, I had to turn my volume WAAAY down from 12 bars down to 6 bars. Loud as hell. But besides that good job, I LLLOOOVVEEE the effects =D
awesome, awesome, awesome. the voices could use improvement, except for snake and Remi's (she doesnt have a voice so far). the music was good. the music where the white energy rivers meet, and when Regie's shootin a bullet, and where they're trainin, that wuz awesome. the only bad parts are Sky's voice is too loud, Kuna's is too quiet, Kimoro's voice is...weird, Regie and Remi have no voices. in short, the voices r the only bad part. also, the trainin part could have been cut down a bit.
This is a great machinima! Great angles, great plot and great chroma keying. Tip: The plot moved way to fast, you could've made this into 2, 3, maybe even 4 episodes. Also, some off the voice acting was A: Poor and/or B: Didn't match the character. However there are auditions so that's fixed. Once you fix these, it'll be flawless down to the very last detail. 5 stars!
This is incredible. The voice acting is the only thing that bothered me. The Ike voice actor did a poor job (no offense) and the other characters had "OK" voice overs. Snake's was my favorite and the best. He sounds almost identical. It's very believable too.
Overall, this machinima can be one of the top notch Brawl machinima's on youtube, but first I think you need to give it a few coats of paint in both the script and the voice work. When you work that out, this can be very very grade A on all factors. Because remember, what makes machinimas stand out is having grade A material in all departments. Keep at it, man, you can pull it off, I'm positive.
The voice acting was unemotive. The mics used on some of the VA's had way too much static playing out, and whenever it was clear quality, the voice itself had little to no emotion. You have to understand, it is IMPOSSIBLE to properly voice the proper emotion and responsive tone to a line if all we get is the line. If you want the VA's to be able to provide the proper tone for each line, you need to send the full script so the VA's know how they're supposed to talk and respond in each line.
But story was, incredibly hard to follow, to the point where I literally stopped cared what was going on. Making stories complex is always a good think, but you have to make it followable to understand.
Certain sequences, I didn't see to be at all necessary. The training, I didn't particularly see the point. A lot of dialog was incredibly bland and underdeveloped, to where it felt like it was a 1st draft script. If worked on and improved, it can be much much better, y'know?
I'm very happy to hear people liked my Snake/Saku voice, even if I particularly am not that pleased with my own voice, which I'll cover in a sec, but I have to be perfectly honest in my critique here:
The machinimation and editing is quite remarkable. I didn't even realize you could even GET those kinds of camera angles in Brawl. Awesome job.
The Coreography is great, the fighting and the in-game acting is stellar work. And makes it really fun to watch.

This is really good. The dialouge is good and all, but this needs some touching up. It's mostly in with the plot. The narritive nook and the rising action are good, but your expostion is lacking. The background to the story isn't explained at all, and we only get to met some of the cast before the narrative hook happens. Could you explain some details a bit better? Do continue this. If your having trouble fitting this in a time limit, do the esipodes in parts.
i agree with most of the points that IFeelSilly has made. you will eventually get better as you go along, but i do want to make another point. the voice acting is somewhat inconsistant, being, one character may sound much louder than the other. i had to turn the volume up every once in a while. A plot of this calibur should usually be more subtle and have more epic development as it goes along. on the bright side, the specially effects really are something. hope for more
Way too much use of special effects. Reminds me of the Speed Racer movie, which I didn't like all that much. This and Soul Brawl have got to be my 2 least favorite Brawl machinimas, to be honest.
Honestly, if I were you, I'd redo the first episode. Take out the generic training montage, explain the story MUCH better, improve the dialogue, and get some better voice acting. You need more than pretty effects for this to be a good machinima. (Though they were very pretty.)
You seemed rushed to pack as much into the first 9 minute episode as you could. Never rush a story. Give the audience time to understand the characters, their relationships and motivations, and the plot.

This is incredible. The voice acting is the only thing that bothered me. The Ike voice actor did a poor job (no offense) and the other characters had "OK" voice overs. Snake's was my favorite and the best. He sounds almost identical. It's very believable too.

Overall, this machinima can be one of the top notch Brawl machinima's on youtube, but first I think you need to give it a few coats of paint in both the script and the voice work. When you work that out, this can be very very grade A on all factors. Because remember, what makes machinimas stand out is having grade A material in all departments. Keep at it, man, you can pull it off, I'm positive.

The voice acting was unemotive. The mics used on some of the VA's had way too much static playing out, and whenever it was clear quality, the voice itself had little to no emotion. You have to understand, it is IMPOSSIBLE to properly voice the proper emotion and responsive tone to a line if all we get is the line. If you want the VA's to be able to provide the proper tone for each line, you need to send the full script so the VA's know how they're supposed to talk and respond in each line.

But story was, incredibly hard to follow, to the point where I literally stopped cared what was going on. Making stories complex is always a good think, but you have to make it followable to understand.
Certain sequences, I didn't see to be at all necessary. The training, I didn't particularly see the point. A lot of dialog was incredibly bland and underdeveloped, to where it felt like it was a 1st draft script. If worked on and improved, it can be much much better, y'know?

I'm very happy to hear people liked my Snake/Saku voice, even if I particularly am not that pleased with my own voice, which I'll cover in a sec, but I have to be perfectly honest in my critique here:
The machinimation and editing is quite remarkable. I didn't even realize you could even GET those kinds of camera angles in Brawl. Awesome job.
The Coreography is great, the fighting and the in-game acting is stellar work. And makes it really fun to watch.

This is really good. The dialouge is good and all, but this needs some touching up. It's mostly in with the plot. The narritive nook and the rising action are good, but your expostion is lacking. The background to the story isn't explained at all, and we only get to met some of the cast before the narrative hook happens. Could you explain some details a bit better? Do continue this. If your having trouble fitting this in a time limit, do the esipodes in parts.

i agree with most of the points that IFeelSilly has made. you will eventually get better as you go along, but i do want to make another point. the voice acting is somewhat inconsistant, being, one character may sound much louder than the other. i had to turn the volume up every once in a while. A plot of this calibur should usually be more subtle and have more epic development as it goes along. on the bright side, the specially effects really are something. hope for more

Way too much use of special effects. Reminds me of the Speed Racer movie, which I didn't like all that much. This and Soul Brawl have got to be my 2 least favorite Brawl machinimas, to be honest.

If you don't like Chroma Keying, then don't watch that much Brawl machinima, because Chroma Key makes a LOT of things in Brawl machinima possible.

Honestly, if I were you, I'd redo the first episode. Take out the generic training montage, explain the story MUCH better, improve the dialogue, and get some better voice acting. You need more than pretty effects for this to be a good machinima. (Though they were very pretty.)
You seemed rushed to pack as much into the first 9 minute episode as you could. Never rush a story. Give the audience time to understand the characters, their relationships and motivations, and the plot.
