Before then Kendrick was known as Spanky and those two would job to the more popular cruiserweights on smackdown
WWE is just a whole gimmick fest right now, i fast-forward through through like 40 mins of bullshit girl matches, the tag-team matches are pathetic cuz they have nobody anymore and the william regal segments are annoying and usually near the beginning and it follows the same formula every week. As a wrestling fan I'd think other fans would respect TNA for brining you better action in the ring. TNA could bring in a bunch of monsters and have them half ass it and it would be over with many fans because its time tested. TNA doesn't do that though. They are less concerned with turning a bigger profit than they are with having great athletes & matches. As a fan I respect and thank them for it, and I don't bash a 6 year old company for not making more money then it does.

I agree.I wish fans would collectively get behind TNA. The promotion does FAR more good than bad. All the nit picking. The fact is,bashing TNA doesn't help anything. I think TNA for being the best wrestling product on TV. I say lift TNA up or just don't watch it if you don't like it.
I love most of TNA, but to get a 1.0 on a live show is a flashing red light in my opinion. Something has to be done to get the ratings up. I can't see how TNA will be able to mask that a 1.0 rating for the first live show is the biggest disappointment in TNA's history. Hopefully, Lockdown will get a decent amount of buys.
What is sad is the way they have to do it.. They have to sign bigger stars which I do not want them to do.. I like ROH very much but I know if they had a TV deal they would not have big ratings. Most fans these days want to see names, Gimmicks etc,. No matter how much action a company has it does not matter because fans care too much about the acting and not the action. But if I owned TNA I would just screw the ratings get rid of the money whores and econimize my company around the x division

Bill and Doug, you guys have some very good comments about the state of WWE, and even though i don't hate TNA, and i would love for a another Monday Night War, i still think WWE is better, i watched WWE from 1991 to 2001, and WCW from 1994 to 2001, and then i stopped watching Wrestling, really just after the Invasion PPV. But i think TNA can only grow, and the young guys in TNA are better than the young wrestlers at WWE, but carry on the good work.

I highly doubt that only 4,000 where on the floor. Thats WAY to small for having 90% of the football field used for floor seating.

I wish they would concentrate on just the wrestling as well, because they have the talent, but that means getting rid of ShopTNA, and most of the expenses like paying big names to come over. Kurt Angle was a big wrestling gain, but I am willing to bet they sacrificed a lot of money on him. Almost 2 years after he has come to TNA, they are still around 1.0, so obviously they need to now concentrate on wrestling and not ratings. If you can't even beat ECW with a live show, there isn't much more

Bill and Doug, you guys have some very good comments about the state of WWE, and even though i don't hate TNA, and i would love for a another Monday Night War, i still think WWE is better, i watched WWE from 1991 to 2001, and WCW from 1994 to 2001, and then i stopped watching Wrestling, really just after the Invasion PPV. But i think TNA can only grow, and the young guys in TNA are better than the young wrestlers at WWE, but carry on the good work.

You can say that all you want but the fact is, he was the match that was being pushed to the public, and it became the highest grossing wrestling event of all time. It wasn't the main event, but thats what was advertised, and that played a huge part in bringing in MORE BUYS.

They where already in the area, no clue about the 2 drivers but Hermy is a TNA Fan and was at the 1st ever TNA show.
