The best bands today (Shinedown, Chevelle, Seether, Breaking Benjamin, Godsmack) don't sing about it constantly either. They may have had a few big songs about the subject, but their entire image wasn't based on it. Sex, drugs, and rock n roll described the lifestyle of the musicians- it used to be that artists were clever enough to mask the overt sexuality.
