That is an interesting combination of music and anime! I've never seen Densha Otoko before but I've watched Great Space Coaster. What is Densha Otoko about anyway as this video kind of reminded me of Galaxy Express 999.

Its been such a long time since I watched this show, but I do vaguely remember a lot of celebrities being on TGSC. Problem is I can't remember what famous people were on it except for Harry Winkler.
Puppet Goriddle Gorilla once told talked in a live action video segment with Actor Henry Winkler AKA The Fonz in TGSC's 3rd season back in the year 1983. The picture was seen on the very rare 1983 GSC press kit page.

Densha Otoko (Train Man) is a Japanese drama series, based on a supposed real story, about an otaku (geek/nerd) who one day saves a woman from a drunken man on a train. He develops a crush on the woman and tries his best to win her heart with some help from anonymous users on a image board called 2channel.
As for the video (the opening to Densha Otoko), it is suppose to be a sort of tribute to the 1984 Daicon IV anime film (set to ELO's "Twilight"; as this opening is also set to) made by a bunch of Japanese college students. Those students later formed a little studio called Gainax; known for animes such as Nadia, Evangelion, FLCL, Gurren Lagann, and Gunbuster.
That was epic win. >D
