every "smooth" fsx video on youtube is fake, even when they have good specs it will never be smooth so dont believe anyone its just fsrecorder making it look smooth those people on youtube are probably getting 10-15 fps but when they use fsrecorder it looks as if its smooth. never believe any smooth fsx vid unless your at the guys house playing fsx on his computer

I have a Q9550 @ 2.83Ghz, 4GB RAM an Ati HD5770 on win7 64bit and easily (I mean really, really easily) get high performance from the sim (25-30fps limited) with REX and CS products. Learn to optimise or GTFO.

@diablovt108vt109 They are probably using FS Recorder. It works within FSX and records movement rather than frames. Then after recording you can export to whatever FPS you want.

Can someone please give me a hint how to get graphics close to this. After seeing plenty of inspirational videos on youtube, 8 month's ago I built a machine, I7 2600K @4.8GHz, GTX 580, everything fairly top of the range, all purely for FSX. I have installed REX, ORBX Australia, ORBX YPAD & YMML, and all REX Freeware. 8 month's later I still watch vid's like this, wanting it, instead of having it. I'm sure u guys must do hardcore tweaking, or is something just not right. I'n no computer guru.

@LupusAries This I can assure you is gameplay footage. And the amazing thing about Orbx scenery, in particular Concrete (used here), there are no fps drops. I can run locked at 40fps in Concrete. I can't do this in certain default areas such as NYC. Try the Orbx Pacific Northwest scenery demo and also their freeware (but payware standard) airport - Bowermans

@Steve31000 Maybe I don´t know about it, Frankly after the shitload of trouble I had with the FSX.............I´m pretty much done with it. BTW I never doubted it was original Gameplay footage, that was basically what I said, gameplay footage of a "moded" read addons FSX. REX and ORBX sound very interesting but they cost dearly, and atm I have to watch my gaming expenses. I think I´ll make the jump to X-plane this autumn.

@yipyipmingow He uses ORBX FTX Pacific NorthWest (VFR scenery) with one of the ORBX airports. Add to that weather and environment textures (clouds ,sun, water, etc) of REX2.0 and you are in FSX heaven. Use Ezdok for the headmovements, turbulence and touchdown shakiness. Have fun!!
