k so when i get my g1 from warranty, hope they dont charge me for rooting it :(, but i just should rename file update, and update through a recovery image. but before that i ll root my phone and update from rc29. so the rom is enough, no spl neither?

root as normal, from what im gathering you flashed this rom and the hero radio that was released around the same time. so root the normal way then just flash the rom. dont tell tmobile you tried rooting or anything just tell them it stopped working and thats it

not trying to say its a bad rom but is the radio image messed up, because i bricked my phone updating and now im requesting a new tmobile, i want to get the update but did any 1 have problems with radio image, thanks

you weren't suppose to upload the Hero radio Image , that was for Hero only.

I've used this and it was fast for like 30 minutes then it started to chug and stutter.. =/

I was pretty excited about this ROM too cuz of all the video's I've seen of it in action....

I just posted a video of my G1 running JacHeroSki v1.8 and its AS fast as this and it didn't chug on me after the 2 days I had it...

I'm running 1.5 too. Loving it. 3 questions. Did you just flash the rom minutes before the video was made? and What is your swappiness settings? Default or custom? I'm on an 8gbclass6 with a 40mb linux-swap

No its on a G1, I got it running on mine now, if your that bothered go to the XDA Dev forums yourself and check.

plurk is another kind of social app.. i think it can be uninstalled, not sure but this build does have java and flash and i think flash works a little faster on this build too. no features i know of are missing.

question i'm new to everything that comes with rooting my phone, but i was wondering how important is it to partition your sd card? and what exactly does it do?

you want to partition your SD cards so you can install apps in to the SD card instead of the internal memory leaving more memory to your G1 thus making it run faster. and you get to install 100+ apps instead of 50 and making your G1 slow.
