The reaqson they didn't go after songs that directly spoke of suicide or death etc is because that is protected under freedom of speech.

The argument they used for this song, was that there were hidden backwards subliminal messages which were put there to influence the behaviour of others unknowingly (subliminally). That is not protected under freedom of speech. That was banned decades ago because corporations would use it to secretly advertise products in movie theaters.
