I love DANCE NO.5 BY BRAHMS!!the girls doing it well too but the remix of it is a bit strong and I can't really feel that they playing it from their heart with putting in everything what is needed in this music. listen to this- Budapest -> Mága Zoltán Brahms V.magyar tánc<- ( a famous hungarian violinist) , im sure that he's playing it much better because he feels the music. he knows when to do what , but the girls didn't even play the whole thing.they repeat 1thing over'n over again.
Hungarian is not a nationality or a country only. But it is a state of mind. Listen and you will get it .After all... you all have a Hungarian origin. Hungarian it simple means to speak.De ha nem beszelsz magyarul ugysem erted meg.
and yeah - cultural snobbery irks me - there are so many wonderful pieces of music that it takes an encyclopedia to keep them all straight, and I am still learning after decades of music appreciation . Keep them coming, Bond ladies!
I stand corrected - thanks Mr. B - my problem is that I love both of the aforementioned pieces - and got my a's and b's mixed! I'm just thrilled that Bond did this!
Slyglen - before you get all snobbish, check your facts - the original piece is the Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 by Franz Liszt, who was a Hungarian. Brahms was a German who was about 14 when this was composed!
@eilythia111 next time you better read the post you are referring to. Hungarian Rhapsody (that does not sound at all like this remix) is written by liszt but slyglen talks about Hungarian DANCE no. 5 (that i played myself and clearly is remixed here).
the bond girls wear slutty outfits, and jump around and whip their hair and thats it. the 12gb is all pure music to the ears, and eyes.. each member of 12gb can stand on their own, and together with each other, they are more unique and whole. there is no girls band a better than 12 girls band......
What arrogance...I knew it... plenty of people do. How about just enjoying the post and keeping your condescending rubbish comments to yourself? You may have had culture thrown your way but obviously none of that turned into class.
Do you need knowledge of it to enjoy it? I noticed a lot of the songs were just covers, wish I could find the real songs bc the techno sometimes ruins it /:
No need to come here and show off your oh-so-superior knowledge.
I know SHE's "不想长大 uses the exact same tune as Mozart's Symphony no. 40 in G minor but I don't have to go over to those videos and shout about it and how few other people know about it.
I fully agree with starman. You may have culture but absolutely no humility or class.
There is a BIG difference between SHARING and SHOWING OFF. You were showing off.
"This song is called Hungarian because it's a remix of Brahms' Hungarian Dance No. 5" would be a far better way than starting off with "I have the feeling that none of you guys know why..." and ending with "culture yourselves a little bit". To do so puts forth the assumption that only you are cultured enough to realize the origin of this piece, and reeks of pure arrogance.
Are they bollocks from Hungary. Two Australian and two English girls but one of the Aussies has been replaced by another English girl whilst she left to have a baby
I can imagine doing my gymastics routine to this...EPIC!

It's funny that people argue about hungarian culture in english.
(Igazából tényleg Brahm műve és ő tényleg a magyar népzenéből merített ötletet de így sincs túl sok köze a magyarsághoz)

I have the feeling that none of you guys know why this song is called Hungarian. It's a remix of Brahms' Hungarian Dance No. 5.
"And whoever composed this song" in the write-up. Absolutely depressing.
Don't get me wrong, I love this remix, but please, culture yourselves a little bit.

You and I are most likely the minority as far as modern listeners with knowledge of classical music.
No class here, though. I go to class, but that's it.

No need to share what I know with everyone else? Really?
My apologies for shedding some light on a popular track. It was totally uncalled for.
You should march over to 不想长大 right now and share what you know. Why the hell wouldn't you spread some knowledge?
