Oh, one other thing. I used to love to watch the drum corp and drill teams practice after school and during lunchtime.

This is nice to see. I remember that "V-I-C-T-O-R-Y" cheer. I was on the pep squad and we used to sing that. The girls drill team and the pep squad had similar uniforms. Ours were more of a sailor style (83-84 school year) with the flap on the back also. I donated mine to the Balboa Hall of History if ya' ever get the urge to see it! LOL!! Class of 85 FOREVER!

we bonded with the Song Girls, Pep Squad, and the athletes during this year 88-89, in fact, they were at this competition in uniform cheering us on like it was a Bal football game! they taught us the BAL BIG BUCS GET PUMPED GET PAID cheer too...great memories!
