  • Caution! Xfast usb prevents the creation of recovery points (win7 x64).

  • Makes absolutely no difference at all whether you have this. program installed.. Normal mode or turbo mode.. no difference in speed.

    my setup is extreme 4, 2600k, vertex3 and i have tried this with 4 externals.. 2 seagate and 2 WD, 2 usb 2.00 and 2 usb 3.00

  • 1- SSD = eliminate bottleneck + focus on the maximum speed achievable through USB3. You want this in a lab test.

    2- My Extreme4 Gen3 + 3 different USB2 key + Western Digital My Book 3TB USB3 = ~20% speed boost Crystal Diskmark under both USB2/USB3.

3- Overheating = cheap parts. Cristal Diskmark, 9 pass, 1GB full bench on my USB stuff = slightingly warmer = normal because 20% faster speed...

4- Boot time = exactly the same (Crucial M4 128) with/without Xfast with/without USB device connected.

  • @UTUBESUCK666 seems reasonable

  • XFast USB makes no difference on my Asrock Pro.

  • Too bad it overheats all my devices, when using it with usb 2.0...

  • ahhh xfast sucks

  • Why would you run a SSD over USB? That's like buying a Ferrari so you can give grandma a ride to the grocery store.

  • @tux9656 when you wrote that, you were just thinking that funny comment was going to get hundreds of +1's ... Don't you?

    PS: Happy New Year! xD

  • @benitollan No. I was simply stating that USB creates a huge bottleneck for a SSD and it's not a realistic normal usage. I have a SATA traditional mechanical disc platter hard drive that can max out throughput at around 100 MB/s.

  • @tux9656 sorry, my english skills are low and I understood that you were joking. My fault.. :(

  • I just got a Asrock Z68 Pro 3 for my Intel CPU and its rocking!! :D (It has XFast Lan AND XFast USB :P)

  • aZZrock

  • I JUST BOUGHT AN ASSROCK MOTHERBOARDD!!!!

  • @Bibazavr all I can say is Good luck with that! and may all forces be with you!

  • @amehu Well it was the only MB i could find that supports DDR2 and DDR memory at the same time. +its cheap as shit. Works gould atm.

  • @Bibazavr So did I It kicks ass!!

  • Laptop in hand.

  • @jacekc1982 Rest of response: TotalMedia Theatre, so I started using FireFox, & the audio returns after I reload the page with Arcsoft TotalMedia Theatre closed.

Pay attention to when the sound doesn't work, what are you doing on the computer at the time it happens? I would actually recommend going to the manufacturers website, & contacting them about the problem, they would be more helpful than anybody here.

I have the ASRock P67 EXTREME4 (B3) been happy with it so far after 4 months of use.

  • @jacekc1982 I've been having a problem with the audio on internet only disappearing (worked fine on desktop though), thought it was the web browser I was using, turned out it would happen after opening, & using Arcsoft TotalMedia Theatre to play a movie, the audio would be output from the software source only, and not from my web browser. The web browser - Google Chrome was a bit of a problem, the audio wouldn't return after reloading the webpage, after closing Arcsoft (Continued)

  • @batman4e just convert your HDD to NTFS and then you can copy large files.

  • i am curious does it have intel smart response?

n this is off topic, but i rly am curious.

  • Man, the hate and ignorance on here is just sad.

  • Is ASRock good?

  • @GamerAndReviewer Asrock is amazing! i have the ASROCK M3A785GXH/128M with an AMD Phenom II X6 1100T 3.3GHz and 8GB DDR3 RAM plus an ATI RADEON HD6950 2GB. ASROCK is fantastic. Although my board is about 2-3 years old is running super fast. very quality boards and very resonable prices. my PC costs me less than 900euros. 2 years of running this motherboard and no problems appeard yet. I also upgraded the bios for the phenom and its very easy and super fast to do it. just by pressing one button.

  • @alexandercle2008 OK, thanks. =)

  • This guys voice is annoying...

  • dunno why ASRock cannot start shipping quality components already even with a bit higher price.. they ve been on market for years already and always with some fancy new technologies but wheres reliability??

  • @amehu It's on my 8-year ASRock motherboard, no problems so far.

  • ASRock is such crap. My old Dell was so much better... :,(

  • @LukasVideosify was crap

  • It may be the world fastest USB transfer technology, but I can't copy large files, because the HDD is being dropped during the copy operation.

  • This XFast could be applied to any other motherboard. For a fair comparison you should compare apples with apples, not apples with oranges. This XFast software is a third-party software. Besides the Etron USB 3.0 host controller has buggy drivers, as of now works only with specific USB 3.0 devices. Just plug in a webcam into the USB 3.0 port and you will be presented with a nice BSOD.

  • @batman4e - sadly, you are 100% correct! I have the ASRock H67M-ITX and the integrated Etron USB 3.0 is complete garbage and the XFast makes you unplug the USB devices when you change settings. Ridiculous. My disks drop out all the time and it only happens when plugged into this Etronics USB junk. ASRock should be apologizing for subjecting us to such a crappy USB controller.

Hey ASROCK - why don't you show us some drivers that WORK before showing off XFast crap?

  • @ValkyrieMT - Hi! I'm having similar problems with an external USB 3.0 HDD. They are dropped very often.

What is the type and manufacturer of your HDD ? I think Asrock will have a lot of RMA due to the low quality of the USB 3.0 port drivers.

    Thanks.

  • Anyone know when these boards are going to be released? its all i need to finish my build!

  • Hi, the M3A770DE mobo supports the ATI Radeon HD 6970?

    THANKS A LOT.

  • Especially that whole application isn't really theirs. They just bought rights to use it from FNet Corporation. Same as PQI did. Thou at least they are giving it for free to their mobos, while PQI one demanded you to have special type of PQI HDD bought. But both those facts prove only 1 thing. That tool can boost USB performance on all mobos/usb devices not only asrocks. Question is, how long we need to wait to get it for free/as default in all mobos/OSes.

  • Seriously Chris, I wonder how did you make it to your Marketing Director post? Of all those videos that you posted mostly are aiming at GIGABYTE. You are putting your company into a bad name, though you never had a good one before..

  • 1 person uses USB 1.1.

  • lol used an enemy's board haha, how evil:D

  • nothing like copying some warez bdrips

i guess those are the "real world conditions" lol

  • This guy is my hero.

  • thanks

  • Nice monitor ;)

  • hah "mm okey" "mm ok that's good" :D

  • Asrock FTW.

  • Does it boost my USB 1 performance? ;)

  • @MagikGimp certainly. and also as a free bonus it boost your floppy diskettes.

  • @damnhereiam Now that's what I call backwards compatibility! ;)
