Everyone knows the Japanese stopped using chopsticks and started using sporks 10 years ago when the first Taco Bell opened in Tokyo. Now, there's a Taco Bell on every inaka street corner and nobody here has to endure lip splinters or random patronizing compliments about having amazing chopstick skills for a foreigner.
Haha this is funny! And for the people who are dissing Japanese people or Japan, you are obviously stupid. I will not explain why since it seems you will not understand. Just like a lot of you didn't understand the concept of "this is a joke". Anyways...I thought this was funny.
It is obvious it is fake. The cameraman is taking from outside and how is it possible to hear their conversation. They must have mics on their clothes.
I knew I had to favorite this when I heard him say "unbelievable" in Engrish. Japan <3
Oh and I can't believe that are really people this clueless out there. Yes, sirs and madames, I'm talking about you folks before me that are arguing about the quality of the translation or fail to see that this is video is a deliberate (and succesful) attempt at humour.
I honestly cannot comprehend how stupid you would have to be to write a comment like that. Have you not heard of comedy sketches? No? I think it's time for you to join the real world, my friend.
some people are too japan fanatics that they don't see their reality ^^ they can eat with forks :P but traditions are traditions! guys, take this as a joke, and stop arguing over little simple things :)
WOW...I never knew that!!! just kidding. I mean this video sucks...What kind of people would believe that. It must be some kind of brain washed people...
"when I get to the restaurant..." and "when they get to the restaurant..." are copletely different! "they serve this fish raw" and "we serve thid fish raw" are different, and too many wrong translations!please! if you translate "they" or "we","I" correctly, the story is gonna be totaly different.please!
yeah, thats why i got really confused while i was watching this video.. hmm i dont know if it was meant to be translated incorrectly. how they act just made me laugh though. i think its quite funny:) and
"what a bunch of sushis"
haha! what kind of swearword is that? us japanese should start using that from now on! lolz
the subtitle's fine.. food w/c is cooked in a hot iron teppan, is called teppanyaki. if you could just catch what the video says, you will think it is funny.. since you are slow, even the subtitle you cannot follow, you better keep quiet.. don't post your negative comment!
The subtitles are alright but a bit off and ruudvankamalrooy I'm sorry but you are not using correct romaji for the swear words you've attempted to say for no good reasons.
i can understand japanese and english. this sub is not really correct but it is nearly correct. however, i watched 3 times and it is not really funny anymore
You may be able to say a single phrase in Japanese but it looks to me like you've never properly studied; if you had you wouldn't have the 'y' trailing a word and also you'd realise that the subtitles are actually as accurate as you could get for something targetted at non-japanese speakers.
It comes across to me more like a twist on a twist, where they are trying to get a laugh not on the Japanese, but on the reaction of the non-Japanese who see this clip.
It's like a blind who's acting stupid to make the onlookers laugh, but in reality it turns out that the blind man isn't blind, only acting as one, and he's the one who's laughing the most.
LOL, this is funny. imagine if that were true, we all got suckered in. This was obviously one of those skits in latenite talkshows. Who ever came up with the idea was briliant. Its soo funny.
nope, its the oposite, talking about the english manners, then the man starts to talk about how out going english women are, since japanese people keeps things to themselves, but i say this vid is completly funny if you really know what they're saying
duuude. you guys are wack. the video isnt makin fun of the japanese culture. its just a skit. thats all it is. cant you guys hear the crowd laughing? duuuh.
it's a skit from a sketch comedy show that aired in Australia in the late 90's called "The Late Show".I repeat,IT'S A JOKE!They are acting! How's it rascist towards the Japanese when it is them taking the piss out of us Aussies?
Sheesh, some of you guys really know how to kill the mood.Move away from your monitor, release the mouse & laugh a little.
Aww, I don't see why people watch anything on YouTube if they're going to be so critical of it. They're always going to get the "it's a joke" thing thrown at them a million times. ahwell. I liked it. :D
After reading back on the comments for this people seem really pissed off, like this is insulting Japanese. I don't think it is, is it? I certainly didn't think anything disrespectful to the Japanese while watching it, and the two Japanese actors don't seem to mind.
I'm Irish and we always poke fun at ourselves and our own traditions, why are people so surprised that the Japanese might do it too?
This kind of treatment is extreme, but I do not doubt it happens. Although this man is very sadistic against foreigners, try to remember not all of them are completely in the same boat. It is apart of the culture to seclude themselves, thinking Japan is a Nation, a Union and that everybody else is an outsider to their community.
(cont.)[one huge reason is they are an island, and another is their government] But if you treat them with respect and actually take the time to understand such a culture this kind of experience will not happen to you. Same with every other culture on the planet.
Alvanthekid: If you're going to be a douche, you'd better back it up. She didn't say, "soo deshoo," she said "usoo deshoo." Big difference. And yes, the subtitles were correct.
What the hell was this? This was one of the stupidest videos I've ever seen. I've wasted my time. Was it supposed to be funny? The subtitles aren't even accurate.
