  • There aren't frontmen like young Bono anymore, walking to the crowd, climbing up the stage...

  • The Instrumental part from 2:30 !!! Just can't stop it!!!

  • Adam Clayton had hair!

  • sonex!! good guitar

  • First time ever I see The Edge Playing a Gibson Sonex!

  • I wonder why they detuned so low for this concert. fantastic song though!

  • F*****!!!!this is great!!!!the u2 i love!!!!!

  • The Best EVER

    Grts

    Vriend Belgium

  • I agree with the people that say U2 have only gotten worse. I like them up until AB. Zooropa had its moments, after that it gets from bad to worse. the last 3 records sees them a pale shadow of their former self. There's nothing amateurish about their early stuff, they'd been playing 6 years by the time this show was played and in fact their early stuff is more complex, just different style thats all. The edge was a far more inventive and interesting player from boy up to JT than he was later on

  • I agree witch you!

I always say ''Bono was on he's best wearing cowboy boots''

I like U2 untill 1995.. Passengers was a good move with brian eno!

I like miss sarajevo at the modena concert with pavarot&friends.

  • @Novacoma They've been great all along, though 1980-81 is my favorite U2 period by far.

  • U2 360 2010 - WE WILL DEFINETLY REJOICE !

  • EVERYBODY LISTEN!! These guys have got to bring out the old material for the new tour...this was AMAZING!! The last tour the did Electric Co & Cat Dubh but we NEED the original CLASSIC U2..from the best band in the world!!! Let me know if you agree!!!!

  • i definitely agree!!!!! but u2 is evolving and they don't really go to past, we need to listen to new u2 , that's the life sentence!!!! hahah we can only look on you tube for old videos with tear in our eyes

  • I did see in one of the sound checks for the 360 tour they did a version of their old song from War "Surrender" which would have been epic if they would play it live.

  • Hey bol316, I still like U2, but as the Rolling Stone Magazine wrote: Try to percieve Bonos voice as a sound-effect. In the old songs he was o.k. but later I just think he tried things he was not capable of.

  • Can anyone tell what Edge is playing in this video?

  • @bol316 Gibson Sonex 180 :) If you mean Guitar wise

  • @ZooropaTV U r right

  • bol316 the guitar Edge is using is a ,Gibson Les paul studio.

  • @DEK981967 I am 99.9% sure that is not a Gibson by the headstock. Thats not the traditional Gibson logo on there.

  • for rejoice he also used his favourite strat. but imho explorer/sg/lp are far better in this case...

  • duz anyone no if dis concert s available to buy on dvd

  • Rejoice in the Lord always again I say.... REJOICE!!!!!

  • if right i must have been there and missed the bus home after listening to joe cocker

  • Holo Snot! At 1:01 and 1:12 he shows his "Rattle & Hum" voice. I didn't know his voice peaked that early. Not that it did as he still had room to improve vocaly but just to say that he had potenital. Even then.

  • U2-gran banda-grand`s personajes.. wow!! bono-edge!!--the great best band of all the time !! amo U2

  • me encanta esta cancion!!!!!! u2 es el amor de mi vida...:)

  • I agree. It got worse and worse every year, but still it was o.k. until they tried to sing a gospel song. a pure nightmare. Bono cannot sing, he is squeezing. I loved them but they should have stuck to their roots.

so many good songs they didn´t make.

  • earlier the better with U2 - they got worse and worse - first 3 albums are CLASSICS

  • I feel the opposite way..but just an opinion. The first albums are okay but too amature for my taste

  • I've seen U2 many times since the War tour in 2003 and I have to say that I still believe that WAR is their best album: Its simply awesome. To describe it as "amateurish" is utterly ridiculous. Anyone who calls themselves a U2 fan really should have it in their collection.

  • Well I DO call myself a U2 fan, and remain in disagreement with you. I do have it in my collection, for the record. And I stand by my position, having listened to the entire catalogue. Call it ridiculous if you will, but you have only your opinion to back it up, as I have mine.

  • Bono cant sing? You can't possibly be a U2 fan (or have even half decent hearing) and say that. Your post fails.

  • wow the real spirit and esence of U2 in this song! i loved!!!!

  • that'a the same les paul from the with a shout video they shot in san francisco, i guess

  • simply amazing - i saw these guys for the first time that same year (1982) in detroit at the late grand circus theater - this video brings a tingle down my spine as it reminds me of how magical it felt at the time to witness and be swept away by the unique power of their performance - while they continued to develop and put out great material in the years to follow, i think in many ways they were at their peak during this period.

  • i think theyre peak was captured in the movie rattle and hum...bonos voice was almost without flaw

  • 1980-81 U2 is my favorite, and that's what we do in the very early U2 tribute band I'm in
