I was really looking forward to watch this 6 minutes video, but I have to agree with MortallicA91. It was interesting until 0:20, when I gave a look to the earth and noticed it was only a sphere with a simple material on it. I watched it until the end, I didn't like it; nothing has been done that required imagination or artistic skills in my arrogant opinion. I'll be waiting for the next one.
one hour for 30 sek ?? that fast !! i sometimes render 2 hours for one frame hehe ... thats a 1/24th of a second ;) pixar renders 6h per frame with a cluster of 80 multicore CPUs ;)
Well, you can't really say that. Each scene is different, and renders differently. For Finding Nemo, there were some scenes only 10 or so seconds long that too months to render. Also, they don't just have 80 CPUs, they use special servers to handle the sort of thing, and MUCH more than 80, more like 1,000s.
well they had 80 CPUS .. then they had 250x SUN FIRE 3800 MIDFRAME SERVERS ... all i wanted to say is : one hour for 30 sek is fast if the image quality is like you want it ...
RenderCow - HyperVue allows to use total 5 computers in network for network rendering. After updating RenderCow you can use much more computers in network.
That animation has few separate animation combined together. Render time depends on complexity. Average render time of 60 second animation is less then 10-15 minutes using 5 AMD computers in network rendering (RenderCow)
But I found that LightWave v9.2 has much faster (even 10 times faster) rendering engine so I'm gonna switch to make final rendering with LighWave.
Vue6 Infinity is standalone software but update to Vue6 xStream allows to export and import to/from most of 3D software. Few months ago I started work with LightWave 9.3 (it's GREAT) and planning to release some sample video music animation file quite soon here. Be patient, please...
Usually average quite complex scene rendering takes about 20-30 minutes per minute of scene using all filtering set as "broadcast". I use total of 5 AMD computers - Hypervue Network Rendering - so it depends how many polygons we have. But configuration I use is enough satisfying for me. Now I started combination of Vue 6 and LightWave 9 - next few weeks show how it works... :-)
do you have trouble with seeing in the view ports with items and procedural terrains being shown as bounding boxes even with the view is set to shaded texture?
I had some problems before when using ATI 2600 video card. Now I switched to nVidia 8600 GT and looks like it is much much better... Main computer I use for modeling is now AMD 5600+ with 4GB RAM custom "made" and it is very efficient for real time view.
not trying to be mean here, just offering honest and constructive criticism.... I am very aware of a lot of your camera moves, work with the animation curves a bit to smooth them out. Other than that, keep it up :)
4:20 the clouds (Altocumulus) are to simulary but its a nice docu I also have Vue at home

sorry man but most of it sucks...
too much render for no reason video.... and we all know how much it takes to render...
try not to waste so much time, make a script, a story...
check out mine....
MortallicA91 2 years ago
If you still use 486... rendering really takes months... Sorry, but it's XXI century. It's time to upgrade your PC if you'd like to render... :-)

:P i have an good upgreated pc...
my point was to make videos for a reason...
he just put some balls with materials, nothing intersting...
atleast i made a crappy helicopter flying over the island, captured the shadow and made trees move by air :P
i know mine wasnt good too, but i tried not to make 5 spheres only :P

I totally agree.
Most of all of this pre-rendered animation has no meaning whatsoever.

thank you man for posting this
the problem nowdays is that programs are easy enough to make a lot of things...
so people just make some spheres puting some READY materials and just render... :/
MortallicA91 2 years ago
This would probably take 4 days to render on my pc, lol.

I was aware that Vue could do this, but have actually never seen it done. Good Job!!
How did you do the space backgrounds? I'm sure it something I'm not seeing, but I can't seem to get off the virtual ground.
Again WONDERFUL job!

In Vue 6 Infinite, we can to create the planets, space, ect... ??? And if possible to create the eclipse ?
But GREAT JOB! 5 stars!!!!
DragonBleu01 3 years ago
Yes, you can create any environment you wish - nature, outer space, earth or other planet surface... The only limit is your imagination... :-)

ah ok...
really interesting, interesting, interesting... :D
Thanks very much... I hope that i can use Vue6 without the software 3D (Maya, 3Ds Max, ect...)...
DragonBleu01 3 years ago
Yeah, there is a stand alone version called Infinite.
VenVile 3 years ago
excellent but what annoys me in 3D is it's slow rendering.I have to wait for more than one hour just to make a simple scence of 30 seconds :-(
khabchi 3 years ago
be thanksful because it takes me 14 hours to render 45 seconds...until i got Vue LOL

Great work, but you should smooth some of your camera movments and speed up where logos are involved. Feels to slow. Otherwise, very nice demoreel.
