Without our earth life, we were going to stay innocent and immature.

This earth is amazingly beautiful.
God only watches people mess up who choose to mess up, many of us are quite happy.
Hell as you call it is a separation from God, That is reserved for those who choose to remain unclean. For no unclean thing can enter the kingdom of God.

Great explanation. God wipes your memory clean, tosses you from eternal bliss to a miserable rock, watches you fuck up, then condemns you to hell after you die. Makes perfect sense to me.

That's great. Notice all the capitalist metaphors. "Spending" time, "investing" time, and others. It's very modernistic. For better or worse, I think that this film reflects the anti-communistic, and pro-capitalistic, mindset of the period.

The message of this film is needed now more than ever. It wasn't a "scare film", it was designed to encourage people to lift themselves away from the base things of the world and live a more meaningful life.
Laugh all you want, it was nice to see this again, even as severely edited as it was. I wish I could get a copy of the whole thing.

This has been edited down quite a bit. I don't know if more of it would make it less weird for some of you, though.
My father was able to get my family a screening of it at Temple Square in one of the personal screening rooms in the late 80's. I hope you can still view it there (unedited of course).
