@DrewAndZay Well... It's a fine uke, but you can't make it sound better than it is. So if you don't like the way it sounds, I'd suggest getting a different uke. Mainland Ukes has a plastic-backed uke that sounds and plays great.
@beeejums Yo Dude, awsome Uke playing, Umm I have a Problem My Ukulele Is exactley like yours but Red, But the problem is, My G string and A string always Come out of tune a lot, Is it because the Strings are old?
@TySeguraBlog It's probably because you need to tighten the screws on the back of the tuning pegs. Not too tight, but snug. See if that helps. New strings never hurts if you've never changed them before.
@pickleherma Typically there are four sizes listed, soprano, concert, tenor, and baritone. I think the sopranino (smaller than soprano) should be thrown in, it's pretty popular.
hey i got the same problem with my ukulele. it costed about 60$ but i got a bag, strings and picks, so the ukulele itself cost about 40$. just like yours and the problem is that the sound is not very bright like real ukuleles like yours ukulele were. whould it help to put aquila strings on it?

@Cloud2424 Probably more than the uke is worth... When I asked about setups at a local guitar shop, it was like $40 an hour (and an estimated 90 minutes work). That sounded ridiculous to both me and the guitar tech guy there, so he just gave me some tips on doing it myself.
I have this same uke and after setting it up I like it very much. I got it because of the older styling and it has a arched back for sound projection. For $40.00 bucks it's not bad and is rather well made.
@sharkbaitstudios Don't know... never played one. In general, Mahalos tend to be playable, but you get what you pay for. You'd do well to order from musicguymic since he throws in a free set up (Google him).
i just ordered a a mahalo U-320C Mahogany tenor ukulele for my first one and im really nervous if i will like it or not, u seem to know a lot aboot ukuleles. I wanted to ask ur opinion on what u think of this ukulele. or does it sound aboot the same as the one u have in this video?
@albokid You'll love it. The intonation might be off (for any number of reasons) and it *is* a cheap uke, BUT even cheap ukes are loads of fun. Play with it, and see if you like it. It won't be awful.
This is the only ukulele I could afford (or even find in this part of the world)... got mine more as a novely, but found I really like the instrument. The tuning seems to get wobbly every so often, but oh well... I hope it last a while anyway and I can get some enjoyment out of it...
i need help im getting a Mahalo UTL-30VW T style Vintage White Ukulele is it good? dose it play well its my first one and im using my own money so i dont want to get scred
Hey I'm getting a Mahalo Les Paul Ukulele soon and it cost $66.95. I hope it sounds pretty good because it's going to be my first uke and I'm using my own money so, yeah. I'm pretty excited about getting one people from this site have insprised me!
hmm, I didn't know that thing about filing in one direction, woah.
haha, but anyways, I ordered a cheap $30 mahalo from amazon saturday [cause i just wanted to try out the instrument before buying a really expensive one] just got it today. first time i ever picked up a ukulele :) so far it's really fun =]
I don't know if it really matters (filing in one direction), that's just what my wife told me, and I'd trust her since she does all that crazy stuff womenfolk do.

@DoughnutRain Most people tend to think Aquilas help. I like them OK.

I don't think they are Aquilla strings. Probably some cheap Martin strings that come on a lot of low end ukes.
Good review
berean315 2 years ago
Perhaps... I'll get some Aquilas on it eventually.
beeejums 2 years ago
Good strings always help! But it sounds pretty good right now! A good player can make almost anything sing - and you did.
I go in both directions. Nail filing i mean.

HoldinCoffee 2 years ago
Some of the ones in the store had worse intonation than others... try them out. I wouldn't poop on just any uke... I'd recommend discretion.
