My name is nick from the U.S. I enjoyed your video very much. Like you (guys) I am also looking at moving my family to NZ not to get rich, but for a pure lifestyle change. I have many abilities but do not have any PhDs or doctorites, naturally I am concerned about getting in with my family. I was hoping maybe you could email me and help (an other family) enjoy and embark on the same lifestyle you are both enjoying. Please email me at nickchiosa@yahoo.com. Thanks very much!!!
People have a wide range of experiences and it's a good idea to talk to as many as possible. move2nz.com is designed to help you talk to people who have already moved to New Zealand about their experiences. Who better to tell you what it's like?
Personally living in SW Christchurch I haven't found any trace of those problems. In my experience the NZ education system has been excellent through primary, intermediate and high school. We'll see how University goes but all good so far :o).
not sure it's the greatest place to raise kids either. the overwhelming majority of people prefer to be average, i.e. they tear down anyone who excels or wants to excel. Most people who excel (including nz born kiwis) immigrate elsewhere because they cannot stand being put down so much. There is enormous pressure to conform and be average. I'm not sure if you want this value system ingrained in any child. it should be the opposite, we should encourage excellence.
There have been some excellent discussion on move2nz.com relating to problems like this. Use the search function in our forum to locate posts from members around New Zealand and how they find living in NZ.
If you are white it is fine to immigrate there. if you want to retire then that too is fine.
if you want to build a career and are not white then you probably want to immigrate elsewhere. kiwis are too polite to say anything to your face but you will feel it.
i am not white and left as soon as i could. good luck.
I am 27 years old I have a Media Studies bachelor degree from an American university, I have video production experience and would like to work with a production studio in New Zealand. Am I a good candidate for immigration? I want to move to NZ even though I've never been there, it always ranks as the highest quality of life!
@laurenlikeyeaah im proud to be a kiwi and i dont give a shit what your idea of a new zealander is, im over these fucken asians coming into our country and not even trying to be part of our culture, they all just stick together in their groups and stink out or country and crash our cars, fuck the asians and fuck you stupid slut
@CronicFiend You are being very stereotypical, not to mention racist. I am a Kiwi, and one of my closest friends is Asian, but born and grown up in NZ. She is as much a Kiwi as me or any of my other friends. She shouldn't have to be treated differently just because she has ancestry from another country other than NZ. You are obviously ignorant and prejudiced. Please find something better to do than writing comments that are uncalled for, and insulting those who have a different opinion to you.
was looking up the least corrupt countries and NZ topped the list. Since doing some research and looking up as much as we can, we may be ready to make the final leap. We are considering leaving the US due to gov. corruption, poor economy, corporate greed, poor education, and unsafe cities. Can anyone tell me how the job market is in NZ? Are foreigners welcome? Are jobs in the IT field plentiful?
Heya pepole I'm 14 and my pearents brothers and sisters are coming we've got out tickets to cme over. Could any one help me out tho I just want to know are there a lot of skateparks in Christ church because I do bmxing and what time dose school finsh at plz reply thank you
foreigners... please come here. but remember we are a small nation and don't want our countries identity to be ruined in the future..... so please, restrict the numbers of yah that want to come here haha!
I am a music student and play jazz mostly, just heard about the New Zealand Music School's Jazz Programme, I really would love to give it a try. I am mexican, currently living in Portugal, how's the process for mexicans who are interested on moving to NZ ? Does it work the same for all nationalities or are there any restrictions for certain countries ? Thank you !
its not like america mate, immigration here is not bias or heavy on restriction. Ul love it here mate, come over and giv it a go, i bet ya u woundnt want to leave. U can also join one of the many local football clubs here and teach em how to play carlos vela style.
Im from america sad to say...I've never been to New Zealand before but I plan to visit during december. Im already thinkin about giving up my citizenship here to pursue a better life. So far... something in my heart is telling me to go there...
Interesting, I live in the US and the economy here is really bad, I do Internet Marketing and Web Design so I can move anywhere, I have clients and friends in Australia and the Phillipines so this is a good spot to maybe move, please tell me how the economy is, the banking system stable etc.?
It is easy to get a student visa, there are many schools who will be happy to have you as a student. Are you thinking of study abroad for high school students or going to University in the future? Or trades school perhaps?
My heart is Maori and Kiwi, and I am so proud to come from a place of beauty and a strong culture.
I live in Weybridge , Surry in the UK as my business is based here. I also love England because it has a great history and also close to Europe. Sweet As . . . .
I love the UK although I would like to live somewhere similiar to my native South Africa and am considering NZ. Thinking of doing my parents did and coming over on a working Visa and hopefully never leaving. Don't think this is how it can be done these days but hopefully it will turn out for the best. Interesting that you've only been there for a year as your accents are quite strong. Please keep posting more vids on your new life, thanks!

AOTEAROA(New zealand) is a beautiful place ,but unfortunately the English planted all these white english people (god is there any place on earth these scum haven't colonised and raped) and is overrun with 'em,soon it will be polluted and over-crowded.I'd prefer it if only the native peoples like the Maori lived there,it would be more interesting than to have to see another white face (isn't there enough in europe without more whites invading the pacific.)in such a beautiful place on earth.
By the way, Im not meaning anything about the people in this clip, I would definatly move to NZ from England, England is ruined in a way. It is good for people who come to NZ to live the NZ way. That is not what the immigrants to England do.
Go see your local NZ Embassy or look in line at NZ Immigration to see if you have enough points, you can find a lot of info at the NZ Immigration site.
I just moved back to NZ after living near Winchester in England for a year, that wasnt a bad place but on a whole, immigration has destroyed England. London was a disgrace!

This is weird. It's pretty similar to the stories of English settlers in the 19th Century. Except a lot of them hated it.

over 500 000 kiwis in australia
