Thank you for posting this video. I am a HUGE Tigers and Ernie Harwell fan from Muskegon. I am working in New Mexico right now and didn't get a chance to see it. What a class act, even in the end! God Has blessed you Ernie, and he has blessed us all by letting us know you.

i feel like i am losing close friend or a realtive. Even if he wasn't a great broadcaster he would have been a great man. He always spoke so lovingly of lulu. Know one had a bad word to say about him and he touched so many lives. I wish that i could be half the man that he was. Everyone looks for roll models. The best roll model a man could have is Ernie Harwell and we were fortunate that he has graced us........Ernie we are the lucky ones and not you.

...Much Love Ernie. My Grandfather taught me baseball, and some of my best memories of him are listening to Ernie Harwell on the radio, or at old Tiger Stadium. You are an inspiration and a true Detroiter.

I remember growing up listening to Ernie. I wasn't alive for most of his career but I got the last part of his career during the better half of the 1990s and remember being upset when he retired. What a great man and a great announcer. I hope you go peacefully, Ernie and know that you were loved by an uncountable number of people.
