it's an LM741 (tlo71 works as well) variable bandpass filter, you can either find example circuits in the datasheets/apps notes, or it's used as the filter stage on the WSG from music from outer space- they have schematics online for a great starting point with this awesome filter design. works on pretty much any voltage and can drop into most bends or designs. I etch boards for them now, about 1 inch by 1 inch.

perfect app for the filter! I use it in a few fuzz/overdrive type things. You can use any kind of blinky light source to modulate the filter via the photocell. Have fun!
I'll see what I have, packing things up for a move pretty soon, either blank boards or fully assembled drop-in are possibilities. I should get something done for PCBexpress one of these days, I could just give you the layout.
D'oh! I intend to sell a few once I find a source of decent strainers; actually a decent chin strap setup is what's lacking. I do have a 50s US army helmet, that one's next.
