@robotello G5's are very quiet computer, you may need to get yours fixed, thermal calibration, bad motherboard, dust trapped in fans, so many things that could cause your problem.

thats shit my school has a apple lab with 28 2.8GHz 4GB Ram 500GB HD mac pro lab. and a 2.66 4GB Ram 500gb x 28 iMac lab then 2x3GHz 4GB Ram labs of 2x28 labs DELL computers.

My video production college course had twenty five crappy ass old dells, and ONE G5 sitting there in constant use while the dells were virus riddled and unused. By the end everyone brought in their own laptops in and some (including me) purchased Macbook Pros! I was so happy when it came and i showed it off to my classmates. It was the start of much happy computing!

same here we have about 30-35 g5's in a lab, with the HD wide monitors, we work with Maya and Finalcut so the added screen space as great. i think ill hire a truck one nite (6)
