  • Paul is a great musician and can play anything ON anything. Enough said.

  • so they are still friends even after the break up?

  • People laugh at Ringo’s drumming – but he actually toned it down on purpose.

Early on in the Beatle’s, George Martin realised that the main strength of the group was Lennon/McCartney’s vocals and the lyrics.

They generally kept everything else simple, to highlight this. Ringo said in an interview he purposefully stopped doing fills, so you could hear the lyrics better.

    Worked kinda well……………

  • Anybody know the name of this song? or is this just something they put together that day?

  • @JohnLennonIsLove16 The first one

  • @JohnLennonIsLove16 Raunchy

  • I dunno.. I think George wasn't into it here but he didn't dread it and not cuz of the other 2. Ringo seemed to be just goin along with Paul and he flowed very well. Just plain easily. Paul always was known as the peacemaker of the band. The one who tried his hardest to keep the band together. I guess he was just hyped/excited to have the remaining Beatles together again. I can't blame him. I'd be exactly like paul too in his shoes. I live for music and harmony and good vibes, that's all.

  • Kind of painful watching Paul trying so hard and George being kind of a dick. Wonder how many hurts led up to that?

  • @dinky715 I don't know how you arrived at that... Fact is Paul just wasn't in George's league as a guitarist, but not many were...

  • @randlec6

I wouldn’t agree. Paul could do anything George could do, in the studio, just as easily.

  • @MrCeej9999 Are you serious? LOL!!! All of the Beatles played guitar except Ringo. When they needed a bass Paul volunteered. He didn't know half the cords George did. It was obvious Harrison should play the most difficult arrangements, which he did. Paul stated George was the better guitar player.. He called George cocky because he knew George was much better than he, or Lennon. Harrison ranks with the alltime greats of guitar. Paul doesn't begin to come close...

  • @MrCeej9999 Look at this video. Paul seems lost while George is carrying the song with his guitar playing...

  • intresting fact George ending this last Beatle peformance with his audition song.

  • Raunchy was the song George auditioned to become a member of the Beatles. He palyed it to John and Paul.

  • They are good! they shud start a rock band! :D

  • @Q7R43 are you really that stupid?...

  • oh man it really sucks that they they ill all never be able to reunite...true icons!!!!! i saw both paul and ringo in concert...of course they they were awesome...!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • George at 02:28 : "just the shortened version" because he wants to get the hell out of there?

  • @kewkabe Paul looks like he's having the time of his life, and George keeps looking for the nearest door he can find.....

  • What the hell is with Ringo? I swear every video I see him in, whether it's from the 80s or the late ots, he looks exactly the same!!! That man just refuses to age.

  • Nice clip. To bad John couldn't be there. R.I.P. John //o-o\\

  • George did not look to into it,

  • @swlnyc1 That's the same impression I got when I first watched this back in '95. In fact, from what I read, this project was originally going to be entitled "Get Back" but George refused to participate unless it was given another name (though I don't remember the source and never read it anywhere else).

  • Brilliant stuff !!!!!

  • lol has anyone ever thought that Dave Gahan from Depeche Mode could be Ringo`s illegitimate son...jesus that look alike lol

  • Watching them live in person would be beyond a spiritual experience.

  • Wow, after all those years amazing how Paul & George could harmonize & play together so effortlessly! There really was a special musical connection between all of the Fab 4!

  • Apparantly, George Harrison was broke, hence . . . Anthology.

Sometimes ya just gotta get that product out there.

You can see George has got no time for Paul at all

  • @paddy9i99 en la ruina si claro....

  • No idea how or where you found this but thanks for sharing! As a former musician it always felt great when were productive & worked our way through & finished a song. But then nothing in the world's as fun as just jamming & not caring where you go but enjoying the melodic journey. WAY too cool to see them just jamming together! I heard George say something about listening to Bing Crosby, looking at what they're playing here explains why the Beatles could produce such an eclectic catalog! Peace!

  • what is the song?

  • @Nikonman2000

It's an old tune done by Duane Eddy (also Bill Justis) called Raunchy.

  • @Nikonman2000 Raunchy

  • Wow, where in the world did this come from? Not so great, but interesting that the three remaining Beatles actually are here jamming together. Sort of reinforces the early British press reports when they were called a Country and Western band. Ringo even gets into a country style "train beat" at the end on Shine on, Blue Moon. I'm stunned to see this, ha. But, never can get enough of these cool cats, no doubt.

  • @nealixd

This from the Beatles anthology series.

  • @MyOwnEnjoyment I eventually figured it out, watching other related videos, but sincere thanks for the confirmation. Too sad to realize George was in his last years, so I am glad they did the Anthology series and got the three of them back together a bit.

  • 'I Me Mine ' was without John. It could have worked and been good even without John. One cant ignore the huge talent that was left with Paul and George and even Ringo as songwriters and singers. But it would have still been a shadow of the Lennon Beatles.

  • as they are called the first stage? please tell me

  • THE BEATLES ARE NOT THE BEATLES WITHOUT ALL 4. RIP JOHN HERE, AND GEORGE HARRISON AFTER THIS VIDEO.

  • When Paul and Geioge sing together in harmony on blue moon, that's the unique thing the Beatles had - the blend of the 3 voices in different combinations, that was the flukey thing that gave them that unbelievable sound!

  • @socrates1818 YES! I totally agree, especially with Paul and John... I have never heard any better.

  • shake it up baby now, twist and shout

  • Just jamming. No pressure. Thanks lads. Them's mates ya know.

  • sounds awesome , it was just for fun and that is all, enjoy

  • I think George was out of it he didn't seem to be interested anymore, but Paul said he was like a little brother to him back then. They would always share a room together when they were touring. Maybe that big brotherly fight between the four of them didn't resolve fully.... Without John the glue nothing was the same.

    That's what I think....

  • john died befor all of them and goarg died second and ringos the aldest

  • @jerry5014587 if you look at my favorite videos and stuff you'll get the pun :')

  • These guys should be in a band

  • @1boredenglishteen Hey, there were in a band but if you mean now can't cause Geogre died.

  • What's the song called?

  • @KarlnFriends

    "Horny"

It's the song George Harrison played to Lennon and McCartney during his audition for the band

  • @MrCeej9999 The song is called "Raunchy".

  • 1:48 LIKE A BOSS

  • guauuuuuuuuuuuuuuu, para no olvidarlos nuuuuuuunca....

  • This is the tune that got George into The Beatles.

  • @chungiemunchin oh, yes,, i'm 'jealous''... what are you ,, in third grade??? That's somehting young girls say!

  • RAUNCHY

  • last minute was great... amazing these guys.

  • for the first couple minutes, seemed apparent that this band needed JL, but then Blue Moon of KY showed a lil' of the magic between these 3 left on the planet, at the time. Nice.

  • What great drumming!!! I could do the same with a couple of wooden spoons and a pair of plastic buckets!

  • @xvoy2002 sounds like someones jealous BAA HAHAHAHAHA

  • as the first song called?

  • @tonyty666 Raunchy

  • And people keep saying that that Ringo was a lousy drummer...

  • Their playing Merengue, the song George played when he met Paul and John on the bus after the Quarrymen concert.

  • thanks for sharing this TheJUNGLESURFER i think i have seen it before if it is part of THE ANTHOLOGY SERIES.

  • paul was a bully,, George had more to sat

  • hahaha if you go watch a hard days night and then watch this its like the older beatles are still jamming. They literally are exactly the same except ringo is more pissed-looking

  • George look like: "What boring reunition, I wanna go sing Hare Chrishna!"

  • I love Paul's flip-flops :D

  • That was awesome, a little bit of history there...

  • Why is George looking so annoyed?

  • @Astromaster90 George always looks annoyed, and Ringo doesent look so happy either !

  • @mrstevehartman Because Paul is grabbing the limelight just like the old days

  • @blissy1 Yes, it " seems " that way... at least !

  • @Astromaster90 Because Paul's ego won't allow him to just shut the fucking annoying vocal up and play the music.

  • paul ,george, and ringo unplugged! I love it. elvis had a hit with blue moon of kentuckey in great britian back in the day. that was part of the beatles influences growing up.

  • George is just looking at Paul as if to say "Shut up!"

  • fuck paul suck at this point, at 1:28 george is like Wow really? wont he stfu and end the song alrdy... Ringo is ace

  • @mendex2006 See Ringo shaking his head at 1:15.

  • couldnt help but smile while watching this

  • nice ringo, 1:47

  • Uh,, somethings really missing. :-(

  • @joepuly , you mean someone is missing.

  • @joepuly Ringo's drumming skills?

  • @joepuly Obviously there's nothing they could do about Lennon. :( But why is Paul not on bass????!?!?!?

  • @joepuly a bass guitar.Just kidding.lol

  • From 1962 to 2011; Ringo has always had cool glasses.

  • @Burnzi2 yah' he's a kind of cool too. beatles, ..the best! the greatest! you're the man..! haha thanks for the music .. : )

  • is this an actual song ? or just jammin out ?

  • @Darkstar1057 its called raunchy and is played on the film Nowhere boy and is available on the soundtrack

  • People on here saying they sound bad they never claimed to be great musicians they just made great songs. George looks very unhappy

  • 1:14-Ringo's face, lol :)

  • Wow. This is just... amazing. But it seems to me that Paul seems to be having the most fun, as Ringo just looks bored and George isn't exactly animated either. Ah well. I love the way that one of them only has to mention a song and then they just out of the blue start playing it, like when thay were talking about that advert. It just goes to show how connected they were. Long live the Beatles!

  • This is the song Harrison played for Lennon in a bus. Lennon said "you're in!!"

  • @MarceloAvero --Yes, I believe the tune was 'Raunchy'. Played on a double-decker bus at night---amazing.

  • The Beatles Rock !!

  • I enjoyed this. Along with John, they created the best music ever made. I have all of the Beatles' records (CDs).

  • @DougCameraMan Awesome and i have them too with the two quarry men CD's signed:) i ordered them by their site it got delayed So Rod Davis emailed me by AOL :D

  • only people who have a wrong concept of music can't understand the fact that every set of people create a unique sound. All are equally important. And weren' t they always all together on stage, as they played as The Beatles ? Isn't that a basic hint of that importance ?...

  • Its just for the camera Georgy?

  • Paul said the 4 Beatles are like the corners of a square. Without any of them there is no the same.

  • The greatest act in the history of entertainment

  • Wow, that was bad. Painful.

  • Thanks for music it is fine.

  • Poor Paul. He has to do everything.

  • They do tighten it up near the end with Blue Moon Of Kentucky...like no others...they just turn it on and up!

  • The Beatles were 4 guys who played as if they were ONE guy.

  • @harpo103 their chemistry was fantastic. the whole was greater than the sum of its parts

  • Paul and John were the aces... be real

  • @reneperezz no .... they are THE BEATLES not "the john" or "the paul" they were called the fab four because they were four , u can see that the puzzle is not complete because john is not there , but it will still feel as incomplete if any other member wasn't there...

  • Paul's vocal on "Blue Moon Of Kentucky" sounds eerily youthful.

  • Comment removed

  • John was there sitting on the floor . just listening .. greatness . thank god I see and hear this as i write this

  • genios larga vida x siempre

  • Geniuses having fun! This is just so nice for a Tuesday afernoon. I love this video, I love them!

  • Even thought there is someone missing here , I'm so glad they reuinited for a short while. It shows that they put past grudges behind them, and still remained friends. Kind of makes you think that a full reunion could have been likely.

  • @ffairlane57 I agree wholeheartedly. At some point they would've had one more go-round together had John not been killed. However...to recapture their previous magic would have been a VERY tall order. Impossible, in fact. Part of the Beatles legend, though, is that they never got back together (all four). But, hell, can you imagine the pandemonium if they were all still here and decided to reunite to do a Super Bowl halftime show? Hmmm...I wonder if anybody would watch?

  • Paul, loose the mullet

  • @TNTIV Judging by the way it's bouncing around, I think it's already loose enough. ;D

  • @TNTIV Loose?

  • Ringo is a badass. I love the Beatles.

  • @Wildave007 , Ringho is so underrated and under appreciated. I have the Beatles box set (2009 remastered) , his drumming, though not Gene Krupa or Stewart Copeland, was pretty amazing.

  • what is the song called in the beggining?

  • @TheCactushumper raunchey by duane eddy, made in the 50s

  • the should have assasinated yoko!@!@!

  • They always said what fun it was for them to just jam together.

  • Dammit Yoko

  • i've watched videos of all of them playing solo or with different people, and seen them smile, but nothing like the smiles in this video of all of them together

  • omg i think im gonna be sad...why did they have to seperate they were the DaVinci's of music they could have had more good years of it was'nt for f***ing yoko

    l

  • THE BREAK UP OF THESE GUYS ARE STILL DECENT COMPARE TO MOST BAND BREAKUPS.....THERE IS STILL LOVE AMONG THEM.

  • All of you who say john is the ace or Paul is the ace. Your all wrong. ALL FOUR IF THEM WERE ACES. They weren't just a regular band. They all had extraordinary talent.

  • @JoRdAnCaStRo7 I Completely agree. Though being a guitar player I lean more towards George, but I think each one suites different people for different reasons.

  • @JoRdAnCaStRo7 well, i like ringo just as much as the next guy, but......

  • @JoRdAnCaStRo7 : I quite agree. All four were good to very good musicians, but what made them "The Beatles" was their GROUP-NESS, if I may coin the word.

  • @JoRdAnCaStRo7 What's "the ace?" daddy-o?

  • @JoRdAnCaStRo7 Amen You got it Right brother. The ALL had soo much talent, have i mean Paul and Ringo are still with us Thank God , with their tremendous wit I loved them all.....still do. wht Music they gave us.

  • @JoRdAnCaStRo7 that's right, they were not for nothing called the''fab 4'',because they were all fabulous, not only john or paul.

  • Would George Martin have bought their act without Paul?

  • @PrincessWarsop he bought them with the thought that everyone was dispensable no-one had a garunteed spot, especially Ringo

  • I wish John Could Of Been There Too♥ R.I.P John, & George♥

  • Paul is the ace.

  • Why they where together?

  • @tutsitwilight They were making the Beatles Anthology TV Special, to promote the 3 Anthology CD sets.

  • im sorry but you all got it wrong. the ACE CARD is john Lennon. he's not there. and being dead ( at that time ) makes him the ACE CARD.

  • It's from the Beatles Anthology film time period- they were working on the anthology film so they were together anyway and had a couple of jam sessions for fun. This is the song Harrison played to get into the Beatles-at the time it showed his guitar skill since they needed a lead guitarist as nether Lennon or McCartney was quite that good at guitar at the time.

  • @ChiroQuacker why u don't go fuck you in hell. He is btter than any band of today.

    Again die your fucking bitch!

  • @ChiroQuacker It's Ringo.... can't give him talent. He stands on his own. Got to be the president of the lucky drummer club.

  • @ChiroQuacker It's not the worst drumming I've heard, but it is the worst drumming I've heard from Ringo. I guess all three of them were stoned. In my opinion they are still the best band ever. Happy new year :-)

  • John!

  • this was nice to see George Ringo and Paul together once again. to bad the ACE card is missing. Happy Years Every One. 2012

  • @7theflyingdutchman They were all ACES! None of them were less than the other because together they were perfection!

Beatles forever!!!!!! Happy New Year too :)

  • @7theflyingdutchman and the ACE card is Paul.

  • cada vez entiendo mas porque los amo tanto

  • @paxfromindy So are you saying it wouldn't matter if the Beatles never had happened? Ok, to you they aren't as good as Queen, Floyd or Zep. But isn't it great that all four bands co-existed and we can enjoy all their great music. What are you so cross about?...you have your fav bands...nobody's got rid of their recordings. Have a good New Year

  • Without George, John and Paul would have sounded... well, like they did with Stu Sutcliffe. Look it up. Without Ringo, they might have sounded... what do you know, the way they did with Pete Best. Look that up, too. Tell us if you still think Ringo or George somehow, being 50% of the equation by default, were replaceable. Sorry for long post - that was my first time posting on this web site and I hate character counters. Shit.

  • Ringo's style of drumming brought out the detail and expressionism in the other three's music. You, perhaps, would have liked Tommy Lee or some other very busy, loud drummer, but any real fan or critic of the Beatles would tell you that Ringo's drums are possibly some of the most important pieces of audio anywhere in their bibliography. The other three? Forget it - it's a waste of time and energy to have to try and explain after forty years just how good they were together.

  • They depended on each other like brothers. John brought in Paul, who brought in George. They were all schoolmates. When it came time to find a permanent drummer, they shed every opportunity available to them as the already-locally popular Beatles to pursue who they considered to be the best drummer in the city, possibly in Britain; Ringo Starr. They asked him to leave his band to be with them... They sought him out as the missing piece to their puzzle, to put it in terms you can appreciate.

  • @davemccombs viva john!!!!

  • @ArgentineExpel4Fraud - Your views on what roles each musician played during their formation and tenure as recording artists are grossly inaccurate. To call either George or Ringo replaceable in any context is not only a direct contradiction to what you later claim, that "only the right pieces make up the right puzzle," but a direct contradiction to what most listeners, fans, or otherwise are able to deduce from listening or watching the band; that this band was close.

  • I am so bummed we lost John and George ... And as bad as I miss George , Joihn's death was even worse because we lost him to one of the worst low lives in History.. At least George died of natural causes .

  • @Beatlesrfab he actually died of cancer :I

  • @Beatlesrfab Geez -- get a freak'n grip.

  • @ArgentineExpel4Fraud I have to disagree with you regarding George and Ringo. George was exceptionally talented at guitar, and his song-writing skills were also top-notch, as evidenced in All Things Must Pass and other solo releases, as well as songs like Something, Don't Bother Me, Here Comes The Sun, Taxman, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Savoy Truffle, The Inner Light, Piggies, If I Needed Someone, It's All Too Much, etc. Starr is also a highly regarded drummer, and OG.

  • @ArgentineExpel4Fraud

only the right puzzle pieces make up the right puzzle
