This video was made before MPC 2.0 came out with version 1.1. I don't use the MPC anymore, I switched to AMS as soon as I released the first beta.

The Mac version of MPC is a joke anyway. It's PowerPC only and doesn't launch in some cases. I doubt that the developer has a Mac himself - he just figured out that Adobe Director has a button "make a Mac version" somewhere and clicked it ^^.

@FordPrefect86 But you did use his software. and you got over fifty-thousand views because of his software. So you're not really in a position to hate him for making a piece of software, just because it hasn't got great Mac support.

The Mario Paint Composer uses Ctrl+Click for creating notes with flats. OSX treats Ctrl+Click like a right-click, that's why you can't user right click on the Mac MPC version for deleting notes. This is just one of the many problems you get if you try to design software with crap like Adobe Director instead of actually coding it yourself. Right click works perfectly with the Mario Paint adaption I'm currently developing (you can see it in action in my newer videos).

this might have been addressed before but you can change the mouse preferences in System Preferences> Keyboard and Mouse

if on a macbook you can change the trackpad so that a two finger tap acts like a right click and moving two fingers acts like a scroll. :Þ

Question is each character supposed to be a different instrument, b/c it seems like they are but if that is true the instruments aren't consistent w/ the track. Just curious. ;)

Yes, where do you see any inconsistence? The Mario Paint Composer skips one chord with every scroll step - which is a nasty bug - so you don't see all the chords, but everything else is just played as you see it.

It was actually on either the Star Trek or Pirates of the Caribean...might have been both actually...but I accidentally posted on this one...sorry.

I always listen for the horn line so I think on the star trek one, the horn didn't double (and at times provide chordal support) the trumpet. And I think on the pirates one the horn line wasn't the one you have previously used for horn...so it sounded more like a trumpet or high string....I can listen again and tell you more precisely.

Well, my videos are not a 1:1 copy of the original. It's all done by ear, and I choose the instruments that I think sound best. I also use different SoundFonts sometimes, that's why the instruments in one video don't necessarily sound like those from another video.
