aye man, did you get that borla system custom bent, if so how much did they run you?... been peepin out different alternatives in performance exhuasts for my spec V,..and :/
Its a vrs exhaust I ordered. With 2.5" piping, 22" magnaflow resonator, borla muffler and tip, catless. I paid about $475 shipped and its mandrel bent. The video was before the res. I recommend it.
Nice ser im not a big fan of the 07's up. They are to big an resemble the altima to much. but its still a ser so ya got to give it love. I got an 06 Spec-v. Nissan all the way.
im gonna speak my mind, it looks like shit...... dont get me wrong im a diehard nissan fan but it just looks like a hybrid, love the power and handling, and the fact that its a good sleepr, but it just doesnt look mean
hey, that's fine you're entitled to your opinion. I had regrets when i first bought it, i wish i had just gotten a Z. but it really has grown on me and I like how when I'm trying to fix it up now, it's not fitting into the ricer crowd, it actually looks good. This is an old vid now and a few things have changed...
well i guess i commented a little to soon, i seen some more pics and videos on it after i left the comment and i actually like it now, but anywayz what kind of numbers r u pulling?
I haven't dyno'd yet. but ppla with a similar setup to me are right at about 190 to the wheels. I'm waiting on some cams and I'm gonna make an NA beast with higher compression.
thanks man, but let me tell ya, the black is a real pain to keep clean and swirls easily. Unless you can park it in a garage i recommend the dark silver or even the blue.
they come on the SE-R and Spec only. prolly from a dealer or a site that sells oem parts. you could prolly even thake the lights out sand down the chrome and paint it yourself then reseal them.
yeah actually that driveway is a good 50+ ft from the road it's kinda hard to see because the angle and the way it drops. I'm saving up now to do a turbo setup. I'll be happy with 350 HP
I fgot eh injen CAI and the Borla catback (really a VRS) from Jeff at Majormods . com his contact info is on there. 300 shipped for the intake at the time i bought it and 485 shipped for the full catback. Injen has a HUGE backorder on the intake right now. I guess they really didn't think that there was gonna be this big of a demand for them, I'm glad i got mine when i did.
I know for a fact that FI-R is working on a turbo kit as i write this. not gonna be cheap though, but from what I've seen ideal specs for it, it's gonna be well worth the money.
Turbo Kit for the SPEC-V looks to be about $32-$3750. Install is probably about $1200 for FI-R to do it right. That's a lot of money for fifty horsies.
It would help if in recalibrating for the turbo, light use would net some MPG--kind of a payback for the install, but that takes a reprogramming effort of the CPU, and that is another tricky issue.
jeff aka MajorMods is running his with 10psi daily driving at roughly 325 to the wheels. he paid close to that amount maybe a tad more for him doing everything himself and other supporting mods. I actually don't live too far from FI-R. I've heard they've got some setbacks now though.
FI-R turbo development phase completes August 08. Majormods used a 2006turbo.
I'm waiting on FI-R. I don't have skills to sort out a 2006 kit. 50 horses? I'd rather a 2005 350Z, already 300HP. Gets to a point where add ons exceed common sense.
Thats why I was looking for a gas mileage payback for when I just tool around low revs. Turbos scrub gas mileage if you don't lay into them.
Like, a 5mpg increase for those of us with lighter foot @ $5/gal, turbo'd pay for itself in 50K miles.
A 350z is 306hp to the crank, thats about 260hp to the wheels, MajorMods is doing 325hp to the wheels which is about 374hp to the crank. The turbo in the spec v added 174hp only in 10psi
A lot of us use our vehicles for daily drivers. Turbos in mild trim actually increase gas mileage. I know this is off topic for readers here, but can you imagine the increased players, if the SPEC-V dropped 2seconds from 0-60 AND added five MPG.
That increases demand for turbos, which after an initial pop, decreases price for everyone because of quantity buys.
well the installation for turbo for spec v are easy, but tuning your pcm with the turbo is kinda difficult with an SAFC without running with no SES light on
I"m personally not that big a fan of greddy. I'm waiting on someone to post up a vid of the greddy on one of the spec forums. This sound will be even deepr and less raspy in mid range when i get the res put on. Overall one of my favorite purchases so far.
I love my spec v. The 07+ is pretty different but still the same on multiple levels as the 02-06 aka the B15. I tried out a scion, then a new civic Si, and even the GT V6 eclipse. i liked this one the most. more comfortable, great handling, good gas. the clutch was a little touchy at first but once i really got it I was really glad i went with this car. the only bad thing is that compared to hondas, we have a lot less after market support.
DId you really feel a difference with that WRP crank pulley? What difference did you feel?
ilgwarmaster 2 years ago
not really, but at the time it was the only mod available really. It has a smoother feel going through the power band, but that's about it.

ya black is pain in the ass. i have a 06' altima in black, and i have to wash it at least once every two weeks to keep it moderately clean.
silver always looks clean. might either get a spec v or just wait for the Azeal to come out.
FishBoneSkeleton 3 years ago
Is the Azeal official??? Ive wanted one of those since i first saw the pix on Google (lol).

Geez I'm glad you shut down at the end of the driveway, or SPLAT!
Any improvements in 0-60 or changes in gas mileage from the add on.
I love light turbos; they usually homogonize the intake so you make better mileage trundling along, but a blast when you feel the need for speed.
Can't wait for one to pop up around fifty horsies and 50 lb of torque.

In mild trim I am wondering what happened to gas mileage just cruising at 55-60 around town.
That's an important number for those using the car as daily driver while playing on weekends.
