A Flat White coffee is the new zealand and aussie name for a north american latte, there is no difference between them. I run a speciality coffee roasters and serve coffee's in the shop i have done plenty of barista training and have had barista champions as guests in my shop serving coffees and they all say the same thing as i do about flat whites, it's just another made up name so people can be different from the rest of the world.

Yeah.. I'd have to say this was the best coffee I'd had in London. But what would you expect with an Aussie Barista at the helm. But what is is with London cafes? I don't want to be served by someone who looks like they just got out of bed and threw on whatever they found on the floor. No matter how hip the cafe - it's not cool if you can't tell the staff from the customers. If you work in the industry take a look at Kitchen Couture an Aussie company that makes funky t-shirts for cafe staff.

How do you explain the last 3 World Barista championship latte art champions and 1 World Barista champion then? Hmmm....

Well, Flat white is really just a Cappuccino with less Froth, it seems every cafe I go to in OZ they dust the Cappuccino with Chocolate without asking me, it should really be optional.
