  • Obraztsova is always one beat off everyone else, you can tell she really takes her time and thinks about what she's doing. She is incomparable to others.... :)

  • EVGENIA!

  • Yeah Kirov Ballet ('=

  • If I ever can do this (which is probably not the case) I'll fall on my knees and puke my guts out of happiness

  • i love this video, irina golub is so beautiful and elegant i love kirov!

  • ovraztsova is a beautiful dancer :D

  • I love that even when theyre doing developees on the left its still really really high! And thats probably most of their bad sides!

  • Amazing.

  • Obraztsova has such musicality - I love watching her. And personally, I think any extension over 180 degrees is just plain ugly and unnecessary - even 180 degrees is ugly/wrong sometimes.

  • 1:13-1:19 the girl in the red in the back grabs her leg and pulls it. i thought she took the leg there. sorry guys watch closely. the over split was made in part by "hand pulling leg".

don't get me wrong, the leg was up! and they are all fantastic technicians.

  • I love Obraztsova's last pirouette, she seems waiting for last seconds of the music to do pirouettes precisely to the music. It's perfect.

  • OMG, At 1:28 the girl behind Evgenia Obraztsova in the red possibly "Alina Somova" does a over split devlope to side and doesnt plie or anything. AMAZING.

I love Kirov. Kirov Ballet is best.

If any of you have FaceBook i created a group called Kirov Ballet is the BEST!!!

    Already 1,175 members

    Kirov is best forever!!!

  • my god!.........I hope that i can become one of them...

  • I WANT THEIR EXTENSIONS!!!!!

  • Does anybody know who the dancer in the purple, boatneck leotard and ponytail is?

  • In different part of this class someone wrote that girl in purple is Irina Golub.

  • oh man, the Kirov is offering free classes in Los Angeles in two weeks and I wanted to go but since I'm 23, I'd be lumped with the adult/professional group. I don't consider myself an advanced dancer (can't really do beats), but I wanted to go :( maybe I can sneak in with the teen group- i'm 5'1 :)

  • OMG all of them have so high legs!!!!

    Really nice!!!

    I totally admire them

  • oh my goodness i wish i could do that!

  • Teacher looks familiar. Looks like Sergey Berejnoi.....

  • its cute how evgenia always delays her turns .. aww i love her :)

  • Privjet, hip2hopgirl, are you russian? Anyway, I ask you in english: do you have more from this class, and are you going to post it?

  • that's wicked!

  • The Dancer with the Striped warm up's is Evgenia Obratzova.

Evgenia is one of the most best Mariinsky Dancers.

    She is Awsome.

    She is Great. :)

  • Does anyone know who the dancer in blue with striped tights is? She is amazingly musical and what placement. Also, thanks to the person who posted segment from Etudes w/Somova - would love to see more.

  • Evengenia Obraztsova (sp)

  • These are such beautiful dancers and I love to see all of their creative outfits when they are in class and rehearsal. I almost like that better than seeing them in costumes.

  • KIROV ROCKS!

  • i'm almost positive that the blonde in the red jacket is anastasia volochkova...don't know why she was there, though.

  • It probably is Somova, but the quality is very difficult to see any faces from far away and she was blocked primarily by Obraztsova.

  • I think that if this is a company class...and they are not students, they are not expected to wear a uniform. If you ever seea real company class, you will see that they wear anything!

they have paid their dues as students, now they are professionals! I respect them!

  • isn't that Obraztsova in the striped warm-ups?

  • Yeah--she's so wonderful :)

  • wtf are you talking about.

They are principals and I'm pretty sure you're not even close to their level of dancing.

Post some videos of yourself doing centre work with the height of those developpes before you start criticising some of the best ballerinas.

  • the height of thier developpes? Is this all you are looking at? And why does someone have to be "at thier level" to critique them? Most of the world's major dance critics were never even in a company. Professional dancers do not wear uniforms in most companies.

  • Have been there, with proper attire, hair always in bun and always doing what is instucted{This is called being a student and having respect for teacher and fellow classmates} not off in the corner disrupting class doing my own thing. Sloppy attire equals sloppy tecnique=disrespect for yourself and for others

  • dude. they're the best ballerinas on this planet. they're all working hard. and they do this everyday. its like waking up and brusing your teeth. only for them waking up and going to class. they're all amazing. and if they want to wear a sweatshirt . so be it. its their choice of doing it. and with they recognition that they have. they have all the authority in the world to wear what they want. so watch what you say. until i see you dancing with them

  • you do realize, this is a COMPANY class...not a class at school, this is like warm up for their rehearsals...it's not like in schol where you learn and you need to wear 'proper' attitre in order to see everything so that the teacher can see your body and give you corrections and so that you can see and apply those corrections;

  • no, this is company class, these are principle dancers already established in ballet, already past their schooling, and past the point of needing to adhere to a dress code. slopy? lazy? i dont even want to know where you infer that from.

  • You've obviously never seen company class before. Get out more or watch more youtube. Yes, schools like RBS and SAB have strict dresscodes, so do most schools around the world. BUT most ballet companies have no dresscode allowing dancers to wear whatever feels comfortable. That applies to big and samll companies. For instance, Jonathan Cope, (ex-Royal ballet principal) was known for wearing t-shirts that were falling to pieces. Do your research before being so rude.

  • I find it kind of amusing to read all the bitter critique that goes on with ballet clips of exceptional dancers on Youtube. Obviously, if the critics were really any good, they would be somewhere other than on the internet complaining about other people's attire, their extensions, turnouts, etc... Why waste energy? This goes for everyone: Get back in the studio yourself, and stop complaining!

  • It's a company class, they do not need uniforms anymore! It's only one of the best ballet companies in the world, that's all... Let's see your videos, see if you can top them!

  • god their extensions are absolutely incredible! wow...

  • if i'm ever that good i'll cry with happiness every minute of my life because that would mean i was perfect

  • who is the girl in the black pants and red sweater, shes really flexible...

  • I guess Xenya Ostreikovskaya

  • she seems really tall

  • My guess is Somova, but it is too difficult to see well. Tiny Obraztsova gets in the way.

  • Thanks for posting!! Did you taped this yourself??

I never knew Obratzsova was so short

  • Heeei! No I didnt tape this myself. I found it =) Yes I was also very surprised that she was so short! but I'm guessing that all of the other girls are really tall and she might just be in a normal height range =)

  • Obraztsova is very small. I think she is under 5 foot tall, but at most 5 foot even.

  • @Hip2hopgirl she is just over 5'1"!!!
