  • 5 people are from the quick trim company.

    u speak intelligently.

  • 5 people are from the quick trim company.

  • i think the real message should be "save your money and buy a real damn skipping rope"

i do see where removing the frustration of actual skipping might help though.

a legion of professional boxers can't be wrong. skipping is king.

  • back in the day they used to have those huge bands attached to a machine that jiggled your stomach :P.

  • Hey Steve, Im a current powerlifter and i have good amount of fat on me. i was wondering what if i still take good amounts of protein but i lessen the amount of carbs will that keep my strength and force my body to use the excess bodyfat as energy or carbs help me if im wrong????

  • @dlinechamp78 You should do the opposite. Lower fat, increase carbs and throw in some cardio.

  • @dlinechamp78 Thanks! I also host a BlogTalkRadio com show. You can listen there or on iTunes. Search Steve Turano. Recent shows can be heard on my site home page at the bottom once they upload. I also host a Sat. morning radio show from 9-10 am EST on 1340 am Tan Talk radio. Call in & ask me your weight loss & fitness questions. 1-866-826-1340 tantalk1340 com. I also upload it to iTunes. You can also listen at GreatFatLossPill com. Click on the On The Air tab at the top.

  • i dont get why ppl want an easier workout. i friggin love lifting weights now. i started on cabels due to intimidation, but am easing my way into dumbells and damn they feel good.

  • Another machine that's a total rip off is the abcircle pro. Bought it and I'm still not seeing results. Planning to sell it in the paper or on eBay

  • @EmzilyD Sorry to hear that. Theres also more great info on my BlogTalkRadio show. Go there search & Steve Turano. The show can also be downloaded from iTunes. The most recent shows can also be heard on my website home page (at the bottom) once they upload. Tell a friend! ~Steve

  • id like to know if what is going on is healthy? i left a comment on another video look for it please

  • Sorry if I missed any earlier explanation but I was wondering about your opinion on resistance bands. There's one by Bodylastics promoted by Terrell Owens called "Super Strong Man" edition. Same basic concept but sturdier construction and it combines bands to increase tension. Just wondering whether you thought the muscle gains could be comparable to free weights. They definitely are a lot more portable for business travel :)

  • If it's all I had available I would use them. But they are not nearly as effective as free weights (nothing is) and probably more difficult to use with certain movements.

  • As far as jumping it's good. lol The one way it would work is so people who don't have coordination could still jump rope. lol

  • Thank you! Glad you're enjoying. Please tell a friend. That infomercial is GARBAGE! ~Steve

  • Your advice for dieting and excercise is the most unbiased and truthful i've seen in a while. Thanks for getting your opinion out there! (Oh, and what do you think about that new workout dvd infomercial called "Insanity"?)

  • Insanity's real tough, of course it works. its not for beginners, but people looking to lose BF would like it. Its just really intense cardio Dont use it for building muscle though...theres no weightlifting involved, its all bodyweight.

  • I like what your saying, but these gimmicks help people who are not going to change anyway feel like they are going to make progress until they give up and try another. It's kind of a good thing because people who fall for these things are obviously seeking an excuse. We should give it to them and make money. I know it sounds bad but to be frank it's just a matter of the stronger taking advantage of the weak. Good stuff

  • Thanks! Nothing but the truth!

  • "I've been reading again!!!" 10/10 Steve

  • what's your opinion on the perfect push up?

  • Waste of time. Just do regular push ups or bench press.

  • Thank you and my pleasure. I'm glad you're enjoying my videos! ~Steve

  • hey steve im edwin from philippines, im enjoying to watch your video i learned a lot from you and i thank you for that your such a nice person. god bless you. i have question steve can you give me a program for my chest im an advance trainee. thank you again steve.

  • Thank you! Check out the exercise pics on my site. Always do Bench Press and Incline Bench Press both using a bar. Then pick a dumbbell exercise. Flat or Incline DB Bench or Flies.

  • Hey Steve

I think your videos are great and very informative and I seriously think you should get your own tv show!

    Thank you for everything! :D

  • WaitingOnSylvan, someone tried to convince me once of the early morning-empty stomach thing. It doesn't burn more fat or calories. BUT, the workout you do will probably be one of your worst. You'll miss reps and poundages that you probably otherwise would have gotten. And if it's an aerobics day, you'll tire much sooner and feel weak and kind sickly in the process. Give it a shot once so you know the feeling. Trust me,....you'll hate it!!

  • The facts are it doesn't matter when you workout and an empty stomach doesn't speed calorie utilization.

  • Hi Steve, I had a quick question about exercise and when you did it. I read somewhere that it was much more efficient to work out in the morning, on an empty stomach. This is due to your low blood sugar level, and the fact that your body needs to burn the fat to do the exercise, rather than getting the energy from the days food.

You on the other hand talk of calorie deficits and surplus'.

    What are your thoughts?

  • Hey Steve!! I just started watching your videos here on youtube (and I love them!). I would like to hear your opinion on elliptical machines and how useful they are.

  • YOU CAN DO IT! Just don't quit! You can join my site if you need more help or support.

  • I used to play baseball in high school, and football, and BMX bike and skateboard. Dont kid yourself skateboarding is a very demanding sport on the body. I went to college gained 80 lbs, lost a girl friend and got on a stairmaster. Lost all the weight got another girl friend. Its that simple, sex is the motivator but now, many girl friends later, I wieghed in at 325, and Im on a mission to get back to 180-90lbs. Ill be watching your videos

  • Thank you!!!

  • Your videos are incredible...I am going to check out your website today!

  • Thank you! ;0)

  • steve, you rock so much! you're so much fun!

  • it called working out eat less and exercise more

  • Thanks! I will!

  • You're funny ^^

    Thanks for keeping it real!

  • DOES THE AB kING pRo worK ??

  • NO! Don't mean to yell.

  • looool

  • Thanks! That what I'm hoping for. Please tell your friends! Thnx.

  • Lol this man needs his own spot on a show or something

  • I have a question about this machine...what do you think of ab coaster?

  • Save your money. Diet, cardio and crunches!

  • Thanks for keeping it real Steve. These companies are absolute frauds.

  • yeah ,,, you tell them ..steve!!

  • Thank you for this. I'm really getting tired of seeing trainers in the Chapel Hill area making obscene amounts of money having overweight clients doing single joint exercises on the bosu ball, while telling them it's great for their core or it's "functional".

  • I think you should do this to make fun of people... because people are mostly retarded. I've seen so many people buy the most ridiculous machines that "make exercising easier" when they should realize that the easier the exercise it gets, the less the body works and the less positive effect it has for the body.

Thanks for educating the masses. You're doing a great job.

  • these type of videos make me laugh nice one

  • I saw the burn machine but I couldn't find the others. It looks like an interesting piece of equipment but it won't help you burn fat any faster. Nor will it cause muscle growth any faster than curling a barbell or dumbbell. And I'm not a big fan of using different weights in each hand. But you look like you're getting good results with your workouts!

  • So what do you think of the burn machine? or the speed bag burn machine? and the ultimate burn machine, you can find all these items on my page, i would realy like to hear your opinun on nthese items, and thanks

  • im 13 and workout 5 days a week for the past 3 months but im getting worried if i will stop growing. should i stop since i am young or am i old enough for heavy weights?

  • Thanks, Steve, for the quick response to my question (s). As usual, the advice/comments were straight-shooting, no-nonsense and BS-free, which is why so many of us seek out your pearls of wisdom. Keep up the good work.

  • Thank you very much!

  • i've watched your videos and appreciate the free advise. You are "right on " in my opinion. I ve tried your advise and find it works for me. I read some of the other comments and i'm ashamed that there are so many stupid comments from morons and people who have nothing better to do. Hopefully you won't let these idiots stop you . You are helping alot of people i feel some who never make comments until they are sick a feel sorry for these sorry unfortunate human beings.

  • Hello, Steve. Great vids. I was wondering about overtraining and cardio. I think in one of the "biggest loser" vids you said that 30 mins of daily cardio was realistic for most people. Yet, I've often heard you said more was better. I've often wondered about celebs and the like doing 4 hr. workouts. How do they avoid overtraining? And should I strive to do hours of cardio or stick to 30 mins at the highest intensity possible? Thanks in advance.

  • 1) Stars do not do 4 hours workouts. That's just public relations BS. 2) Overtraining is based on intensity and recovery. If you walked 4 hours a day you certainly wouldn't over train. 3) I would do a combination of intense cardio for shorter periods and longer easier cardio. Both will help you burn calories and lose weight.

  • Lmao pieces of a jump a rope? Oh wait, let me use the right marketing words, its a "Air Rope." Do they sell "Air Benchpress" too, that would be fun.

  • hi steve i do alot of kickboxing and one day i went in the morning and didnt eat before i went and after i was done i had to walk far to get home and i was shaking and couldnt speak really afterwards is this because i didnt eat before i went why did i shake?

  • Yes. It was probably a combination of low food, low blood sugar, maybe lack of fluids and your muscles being fatigued. Some people can exercise on and empty stomach but you can't. And neither can I!

  • I have a dilemma, Steve. I'm 17 years old and I'm trying to get back into lifting weights after quitting football a year ago and taking a break. I can pretty much do most of the more important lifts at home with my weight equipment, but I lack the things necessary to safely do squats by myself. I can't find anyone to lift weights and spot with me at times I have available, so, my question is this:

Is there some other lower body lifting that can sufficiently replace squats?

  • That's a hard one. Your could try squating with lighter weight. You could even try holding dumbbells while squating. You could even super set those two exercises. You could also preexhaust the legs by doing lunges first and then squating.

  • Exercising on the ball in the new "IN" thing but it is the DUMBEST thing ever invented. You should never exercise on a ball. Nor should you listen to anybody that suggests it!

  • I have watched a few of your vids and i cant agree MORE... I have for years told people to stick to the basic...but people as a whole are lazy and dumb and have to be told what to do.

  • Not even sit ups? I've noticed while exercising on a ball i've developed lower back pain.

  • Hey Steve...what about performing exercises on the ball, like doing dumbbell chest presses while laying on the ball! I've seen sooooo many trainers tell me that it's good because it utilizes more muscles when doing dumbbell presses on the ball, as opposed to the bench. When a trainer told me to try, I almost damn near fell off the damn thing.

  • you know when steve says " I've been reading again" he's about to lay into someone/something lol! steve keep up your good work your vids are great!!!

  • This guy is GREAT!! I can't believe there are so many suckers out there who would fall for some of the crap on TV. Can anybody say "SUPID" !!!!!!!! The secret is not being LAZY and get off your ass and walk four miles a day and eat six small meals a day. It's not ROCKET science folks!! LOL

  • Excellent. Exposing fad diets and junk exercise gizmos that waste your time and money.

    Right on!

  • the best thing in all of his videos are when in the end he always says "love your body"

that really does matter every time we eat something bad we basically kill it...

  • Save your money. Stick with watching your diet, cardio, and crunches. The secret is CONSISTENCY!

  • Glasses are hot!

  • SWEETNESS! I'm gonna get an air-rope to go with my air-benchpress-set to pump up my air-muscles!

  • could serve as a weapon, no?

  • Good advice, throw out the tacky TV shopping exercise gizmos. Respect the classics man.

Train well, eat well, be well.

  • i think the only one that actually works is

    P90X

  • Does it really? I've seen the commercials, been thinking about it...

  • i think it would i tryed some of it on youtube type in ab ripper x and try that and tell me its not working

  • that;s a god damn waste of energy, time and money. it's not good to put your self as a guinea pig and try this..

  • Yes it is! Resistance works no matter how you create it BUT it doesn't give you miraculous results.

  • Steve, this morning on an infomercial, I saw this "Doctor" promoting her "patented" elastic band. That apparently can be used as resistance for "every" workout there is. it is a $5 "home gym". They even had the people from the audience "working out" with this "physical fitness breakthrough" like a "gazelle" commercial.

To me it was a load of crap.

  • its prolly just a resistance band, and 5$ isnt that abd a price for one actually, if thats what it is anyway. but its not a miracle, you can find them almost anywhere.

  • i know what it is and all, i just think the hype over this crap is rediculous

  • I LOL'd.

    Love your videos Steve.

    Keep it real.

    Love your body.

  • Thanks!

  • I like air dumbells. They don't get in the way like regular weights.

  • hahahaahahaha class

  • Ive noticed only about 5% of the gym actually works out, Everyone else thinks its a social attraction or some shit.

  • THANKS!...chessy grin.

  • I CAN NEVER GET ENOUGH OF THE CHEESY 'LOVE YOUR BODY' GRIN

    best part of every video

  • i do this not to make fun of people....well maybe a little bit :D :D :D

  • great anyway. I get a great workout at home w/some of the best exercise vids I have. I have not forgot about good sound nutrition, plenty of rest & sleep as well. Living a healthy well balanced life is key to a healthy body. Please, no more exercise gizmos/gadgets, thanks. LOL. Thanks Steve for the great information.

  • HEY! I have another gizmo/gadget to get the body you've been dreaming of! Just kiddin(LOL)! Simple cardio & weight training will do the trick? Well, here's a little secret; shhh, just listen: try to spice up your cardio/weight training by adding some workout motivating music to it. Yes, the gym' music sucks many times so just take your mp3/4 player w/headsets & it's on like popcorn. For those who workout at home like I do, just place a good workout vid in your dvd, the music & choreography is--

  • You need a new computer monitor.

  • I know. Time to get a laptop.

  • Steve for President ! ( Even though i live in Australia )

  • steve for prime minister?

  • Well yeah i guess so, but i meant in the U.S.

  • i still say the worst one is that band that some how makes you lose 1-2 inches in your waist in a hour. Sad thing i know ppl that bought it.

  • Haha you are right Steve lol I hope that I can create an exercise machine and sell it.

  • OMG I used to exercise and lost weight just jumping and pretending I had a jump rope in my hands making the same motion but with nothing lol!

  • LOL my mom falls for all of these its hilarious

  • the guys spot on, there so much shit out \nd you dont know what to believe, keep the videos coming buddy!

  • Thanks!

  • Steve is awesome no bs with him lol

  • The funny thing is people are actually so stupid they buy into every new thing that comes along. I know people who've spent over $1000 on exercise equiptment and don't use any of it.

  • Thank you Steve, for sensible advice, as always. I'm sure you prevented some gullible people from rushing out and buying this air rope.

  • Air Rope huh..

I'm gonna design my own line of products soon, call it the "airhead" series.

Air free weights, easy to use!, easy to store!, easy to transport!, best of all, no shipping and handling fees because there's nothing to ship!.. it's all air baby! even a baby can use it! start training them young!

I'm also gonna start selling air guitars and air drums.. Lol.

  • "airhead series", too funny!

  • Let me know and I'll make an air investment.

  • Haha.. +10 points to Steve.

  • "airhead" series...LMAO...

  • I'm sure the makers of the Bosu ball will love that one!

  • "Cause standing on a bosu ball's not dangerous enough" i lold

  • Thanks Steve. I'm buying my ball thingy right now. thanks for the advice. you rock.

  • Thank you!

  • Steve, in the beginning you kind of looked like Steve Carell.... funny actor :P

  • i want a pet rock

  • r000fklz

  • Any saps who buy these kinda of "revolutionary" products most likely fell for those vibrating ab belts.

  • we bought pet rocks didn't we.........

  • LOve these videos. I can't remember the name of it, but there's this machine that turns you upside down-it's on infomercials. Only reason it interests me is that it looks like it would be good for stretching your spine if you have a back problem. It kind of is designed like an ab lounger...but it isn't that. Anyway, this contraption looks like it could be useful as a 'body weight traction'

    device. what do you think?

  • It might be helpful. At least the principle sounds good. BUT people with back injuries have to be VERY careful. Sometimes even the slightest movements are very painful.

  • Air rope haha!

It's so sad that some people are gullible/missinformed enough to believe in these products, good on you for telling it how it is steve.

  • haha yea it's funnt what these companies come up with... great video Steve!

  • Nice work!

  • your right steve, just yesterday during a conversation i convinced a middle age woman to not buy a ab lounge and just to do simple cardio instead.

  • jeez where were you when i bought that crap 4 years ago? :)
