RIP to my amazing grandfather, his voice sounded exactly like Jimmy Roselli's...gives me the chills every time i hear this song...absolutely beautiful. RIP to JR also
WOW ! I didn't know he died. End of another era. It's sad to lose these greats we all listened to on Sundays at Grandma's or our aunts/uncles homes.....
NDEGRATTOS VERY SAD TO HEAR YOR GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN. YOU MUSIC WILL LIVE ON FROM GENERATION TO GEN.... AND YES YOU WERE BETTER THEN SINATRA, COULDN'T MATCH YOUR ITALIAN SINGING, I COULD STIL HEAR MY MOTHER SINGING YOUR SONGS ON SUNDAY MORNING ..
Jimmy Roselli was the Greatest No one had a Voice like his, my father was Neapolitan and listened to JR all the time and now I listen to him all the time, although I grew up in the Rock N Roll Era... No One but No one can compare vocally and with such passion as Jimmy Roselli
@marcelloverdi 04/23/11 HERE'S SOMEONE AGREEING WITH YOU, ANOTHER NEAPOLITAN WHO CAN TRULY SAY THAT THIS MAN IS THE ONE AND ONLY INTERPRETER OF OUR NEAPOLITAN MUSIC. GOD BLESS JIMMY. roselli fan forever
The reason Jimmy's songs were rarely or never heard on radio and he never made it big outside of NY is that Sinatra had him black balled. Sinatra wanted Jimmy to sing at his mother's birthday party and Jimmy had a previous engagement, I believe in England, and couldn't make it, so Sinatra, the spoiled brat that he was had Jimmy black balled in the industry. They grew up in the same area and I do believe that Sinatra was jealous of Jimmy's voice, but that's just my opinion.
@jemarelli2001 OMG, I never knew that...I always wondered why, with a voice like his how he never got that far! How so sad, because he could really sing and was one of my favorite singers!
@jrzgirl56 same here my mom listen to him 24/7 we grew up on this music ..heard my mom playing jimmy 2 blocks away coming home from school...jimmy is the best
BRAVO...very beautiful voice...shame that todays young ones never get the opportunity to listen to this kind of music, calming the soul and uplift the spirit...
The pity is that the world never really got to hear this man sing! His records were always hard to buy and forget about hearing them on radio. shame on the DJs! They stole many hours of pure enjoyment from all of us because they are gutless!
Listening to this music brings back memories of my mom and dad making Sunday dinner at 11 am....making meatballs on the stove....all the family coming over from Brooklyn...all the kids playing together on long island....all with the Italian American radio station...hosted by lila sevona

Difference between Roselli and Sinatra? Roselli did not PLAY an Italian on TV, Radio, and Stage-he WAS one.
RIP JR

R.I.P. to Jimmy Roselli. This guy could really sing in Italian. I can see Tony Soprano and Pauly Walnuts listening to this.

Jimmy can be compared to no one, because there is no comparison. He is the standard, the measuring stick. The bar is too high for anyone to come close.

Sinatra had every reason to be jealous of Jimmy's voice. Roselli's voice was ten times better.
