  • My husband is from Darfur and has seen this with his own eyes. I have been there and seen government of Sudan soilders raid and burn villages. I agree with what illestinco said, when people have nothing to gain, they are not intrested. This is one of the deepest most corrupt and cruel conflicts the world ever seen. Once you seen it with your own eyes you can't sleep at night. Read Brian Steidle's book "The Devil Came On Horseback".

  • It's an embarrassment to the candidates that we have to push this hard. Obama, Clinton, Edwards, Dodd -- not to mention McCain, Giuliani, Romney: you have no business vying to be leader of the world's most powerful country if stopping an ongoing genocide is not keeping you up at night. A President without a conscience, and without the vision and leadership to act on it, is worthless.

  • This absolutely sickens me the total disrespect and concern for these poor desperate people , they have not chosen this !!!What is wrong with the government of the richest country in the world . Bush, You are Fucking Satin!!!! But this is a call to all countries help your fellow man we are on one planet and we are one race!!!

Why are these people being left to die with no real concern of our governments .

    When will it be enough??????

  • This needs to be an important issue for whoever I decide to vote for!

  • Perhaps instead of announcing the possibility of a big lake of water under Darfur, they should announce the possibility of a lake of oil--then watch how fast we get involved to "help humanity."

  • I agree if Darfur had oil like Iraq has then America would be there fast enough. I hate to say it but it seems like is all our country cares about is themselves and profit. We need to take a stand and help this genocide from happening. People recognized the holocaust as a crime against humanity why aren't they recognizing this.

  • hellllllo, Sudan DOES have oil, darfur just happens to be in the south and that is why the northern karthoum government is trying to destroy these people. Oil was found there in 1972 exactly on the border between the north and the south.

  • we need to help these people there only an airplane away why are we doing nothing 400,000 so far thats sickening we have let this happen in our world

  • If there is no political or financial gain then it does not concern the representatives in Washington D.C. They have nothing to gain from helping the men, women and children being murdered in Darfur.

  • the fact that this is happening to human beings is enough to concern representatives. ur a cold person. i dont care if theyre american or from darfur, theyre people and we need to act.

  • it concerns them because they want votes
