  • the 3 people who disliked this video clearly dont appreciate the welsh sex on legs that is eve myles! CYMRU AM BYTH CYW;)<3

  • Love this season man! Lauren Ambrose is awesome in it, so is everyone else... I miss the old cast though

  • I love both Mekhi Pfifer and Eve Myles voices. And yay Dish of Salt. I like her.

  • Hi there!

I am totally new here and just recently became addicted to Torchwood! I wanted to go Comic Con - but can't! This morning I saw this from Starz: starz.com/originals/Torchwood/ComicCon/Pages/ComicCon.aspx

Copy and past, it is real, promise, no virus or spam! I did, I would love to see what happens when it gets to 1000!!

    Cheers.

  • I hope they keep the new characters for some more series :-)

  • Is that john shouting at 0:13? Sure sounds like him :D

  • @nightsurgeonx No worries, you cant be as sad as me. When i heard that there would be a scene with Jack talking about Ianto to Gwen i screamed, jumped up, ran to tell me sister (who told me to piss off) and then danced for a bit hoping there would be a flashback to a never before seen scene from TW season 1 or 2.

    A girl can dream!

  • @nightsurgeonx There weren't really any questions to relate back to Ianto. And what about Owen or Toshiko they didn't get mentions either?!

  • i love gwen and capain jacks relationship

  • Hopefully it's just for one season! just one!

Please tell me if there's a season 5 it wont be filmed here!

I'm american but dam, I feel like america is taking so much credit for this show

  • @gx42j Oh I see. I understand now. Well I guess it makes sense.

  • @gx42j You do realize that the BBC still owns the rights to Torchwood? They didn't sell it to Starz. It's a co-production with Starz putting extra financing towards the filming of Torchwood as a whole.

Seriously, people love running their mouths.

  • Comment removed

  • @gx42j And tell me, do you have any proof that the BBC wants nothing to do with Torchwood, at this point? Or, are you, in any way, able to contradict that RTD just, simply, wanted this show to go global?

If you did, then fine, you can compare it to the Doctor Who movie (which, for the record, ONE BBC president hated Doctor Who and wanted it gone, which he was vocal about... which, I have yet to see that here).

Otherwise, it really is you running your mouth, and therefore being annoying.

  • I think the reason they did it is because BBC was going to cancel it.I think they needed American channel or production to save it.So don't get to angry be lucky the show still alive.

  • @gx42j really? hmm that is new information, maybe I should stop bitching and moaning about the change.

  • Torchwood shouild remain a britsh show , this makes me mad why does America feel the need to take our shows.

  • @MyMerlin1 Take? RTD purposely went out to make this show go out to an American audience as well as a British one. Do you people even know how to use a fucking google search, or do you enjoy shooting off your mouth?

  • @RoyalGuard503 Well just don't turn it into a flag-waving show, like you Americans seem to do.

  • @MyMerlin1 Except not. That's a very ignorant statement of anything I've ever heard. Last I checked, Battlestar Galactica, Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles, or thousands of other good sci-fi programs did not go around flag waving as if to see "Amurrrrrica, fuck yeah!"

So, first we have you making uninformed statements about the show, now we have you being ignorant. Good to know you're not as idiotic as the "yanks" you're trying to belittle.

  • @MyMerlin1 wtf? a flag waving show? lol, im british and even i take offence to your ignorance, however i do agree that with a bigger budget it might become too hollywoodish and action packed, i liked in children of earth it was much more of a thinking game than all out guns blazing

  • when did they show this on acess hollywood

  • Chill out folks, it's just television. At least wait unitl it airs to freak out. If it stinks, then go nuts. Until then, enjoy your summer.

  • When i saw the date for Torchwood coming back it said 7/8/11 which i assumed meant August but thats American. So its actually out this month, not tomorrow but the next day no less. Ha ha i was screaming with joy and excitement when i realised that.

  • Fuck Torchwood! And fuck American greed! It has been completely ruined and had to laugh when the interviewer asked about the fans. It has been changed and Hollywoodised, mostly American cast, have you seen the trailer with loads of explosions or the pictures with big guns in them? The UK gets it last out of the Anglospehere when they have the right to it first. I hope it fails and RTD never works again the fucking sellout. I advise everyone to download it and not support it in anyy way.

  • Haha no dislikes! :D

  • you tell em this shouild remain a britsh show, long live doctor who and torchwood america will never beat them

  • "cardiac situation"? oh wtf.

  • You can't form an opinion until you've watched it. I can't wait to see this. I'm hoping for something more exciting and drama than CoE. I just don't know how are they going to top CoE.

  • I loved the 'Welshness' of the first three series', being a Welshman (I'm in the North, mind you) myself it felt good to have such a great and popular series set in Wales. Starz can take all the fucking credit they want but at the end of the day all of the hardcore fans know that this is a BRITISH TV show and nothing can take that away from us, it's the same with Doctor Who except they only based two episodes in the USA but it looks like TW is basing the entire series over there. It looks crap.

  • @MBGamingLegends so glad i'm not the only one. i'm from the northwest of england but i love torchwoods welshness - so long without you having anything that was 'yours' in terms of internationally recognised phenomenom and RTD goes and allows smart arsed yank tv execs to virtually hijack it. To be fair some bits were filmed in Wales and noone has seen it yet, but our indignation is understandable.

At least Eve Myles said 'series' and not 'season'...

  • I love the fact that John Barrowman is just yelling in the background

  • Why does it always seem to be pronounced "Tworch-Wuuuuhd" by that woman?

  • @jackandgwen4eva --because she´s welsh. helloooooooo!!

  • You need to understand that the new TW series is a JOINT production between stars and the bbc. Although COE was very well done, it left a lot to be desired. My main complaint was when they were running from sharp shooters. Instead of pulling out some tw tech, they ran around like they didn't know what they were doing. Jack's rescue was also laughable. TW has grown up. They put on there big boy pants. I encourage all to suspend judgement until you've seen it.

  • OMG Eve has gained a TON of weight. I never thought she was very pretty before...with the tooth-thing and what not...but damn, at least she had a pretty rocking figure when they actually dressed her like a girl. Now even that's gone and they fucked up her hair too...already this is going to be a let down I think. Of course there will be all of those Torchwood/Dr. Who worshippers who can't see that a lot of times Barrowman (whom I adore don't get me wrong) overacts, and plots r weak/inconsistant

  • @AtreidesHeir you do realise that eve has been pregnant, that's why she put on weight.

  • @bakura23 Yes, I'm aware that Eve was pregnant. However I know a LOT of people who get pregnant and gain like 40-60+ lbs, which is stupid, lazy and unhealthy. Normal pregnancy weight gain is 25-35 lbs. if you're average weight, which Eve was. I'm just saying that she doesn't look good right now. Hopefully she gets back in shape. (Do British people/non-US people spell "realize" with an "s"? Because in the US we spell it "realize") Just wondering.

  • @AtreidesHeir Also...I was making the point that all the "fangirls" that swoon over Barrowman and the others often tend to overlook stupid plots, inconsistancies, and terrible acting at times. Eve and John are exceptional actors, but I don't feel that their talents are showcased here. Also to add, Eve had her baby OVER two and a half years ago...so there's no excuse for her to have not lost the weight. I'm not trying to be mean...just stating facts.

  • And does any1 know if germs hubby is common to the stars season?

  • Any1 else long 4 eve's black hair to comeback instead of this red? Lol! Just saying.....

  • ¬¬ Starz should shove their money where the sun don't shine! Although there's going to be more sex in this (yayyy), uhm...I'd rather watch low budget Torchwood in Wales than McTorchwood. Is Kai in it?

ps. WTH is John Barrowman doing @ 0:12? lmfao

  • PUT IT ON BBC AND GIVE FRANCHISE TO BRITAIN AND USA!!!!!

    same for Doctor Who

  • Oh, wow, I remember him from 'ER'!

  • anyone else got the feeling there gonna screw this up?

  • @almellora yeah, but i hope we're wrong

  • @almellora Epically...sadly. Not getting my hopes up a bit.

  • Omg Eve Myles is Merrill from DA2 <3

  • woah thats Eve!?! she looks so different!

  • American sounds so retarded next to the amazing Eve Myles<3

  • Starz is only taking credit for this version of torchwood not the whole series because Miracle Day is a Starz Original Production.the BBC chose not to produce any more so Starz stepped up.i for one am grateful they did because this is an excellent show

  • Comment removed

  • @baddass1904 incorrect the BBC were going to do a series four but they had just given it a bigger budget per episode for series three but a smaller series so they needed a more finance for a longer series but deals kept falling through (with fox, thank god after what happened to in 1996) they finally got a deal with stars but Miracle Day is a co-production between BBC Cymru Wales, BBC Worldwide and Starz

  • hahaha John shouting in the background :L

    barrowmannnnn!!! -.-

  • Why hating on Starz - They rescused the show, looks like they've gave it a massive budget and they have left the writers completely alone, rather than trying to tone the 'controversy' - And besides this is what Davies and Gardner wanted.

  • I hope RTD has watched the US Life On Mars. Americanization on NOT a good thing for a British series.

  • Considering how Torchwood series 3 ended why not bring in Martha Jones & Mickey as part of the new team they'd be perfect alongside Jack & Gwen.

  • @superrobz It'll probably be some new American people.

  • @olit1234 Oh terrific, I really hope not! Torchwood/Dr Who is 100% British tv so I hope they don't butcher it. They've already solen half our stuff already

  • @superrobz i agree i really hope this doesn't end the same way it did in '96 with the Doctor Who TV Movie. Just be thankful that the original Torchwood Series 4 deal with Fox fell though i don't know why anyone would try make something Doctor Who related with them again after as i said ealier we all know what happened in '96 i myself am british but i watch a lot of american shows i just hope they keep like Children of Earth but set in America basically

  • @superrobz that was the plan for children of earth but the actors were unavailable.

  • They better not kill off Rhys now. I like him and I'll be pissed. Theyve killed everyone else Owen, Ianto, and Tosh. And screw Starz. I want to watch this on BBC America, not Starz. :(

  • I knew I recognized Merrill's voice from DA 2!!! As soon as I started playing it I was like... "Thid\s chick sounds a lot like Gwen from torchwood" I knew it. I knew it. I knew it!

  • I've got nothing against Americans but who else thinks that its not right that an English show. A show that was born in England should not be released in America. I mean i know there filming in America, but its just not fair that we have to wait much longer to see the first episode. To be honest i still think series 1 was the best. It won't be the same with out Ianto. :( xx

  • @Arianna336 You won't have to wait at all..maybe a few hours at most. BBC One will air the eps the same day as we get them in US as it is a co-production of BBC Worldwide & the Starz Network,

  • I've got nothing against Americans but who else thinks that its not right that an English show. A show that was born in England should not be released in America. I mean i know there filming in America, but its just not fair that we have to wait much longer to see the first episode. To be honest i still think series 1 was the best. It won't be the say with out ianto. :( xx

  • Yay!!! Torchwood!!! I've been waiting for forever! I so can't wait for the premiere!

  • Please. All I ask is you don't suck under and make this boring American porridge and bland. That would kill the series. That would kill all the original fans. DO NOT APPEASE THE MORON contingent in the writing. Let them go elsewhere and watch reality shows.

  • I see a lot of people complaining. And no one saying "YES. Torchwood is back."

Every thing changes. Torchwood is of course exemplary in this aspect. Not everything that comes out of the U.S. sucks. Ignore the political aspects of the advertising that it's a "Starz original". Die hard David Tennant fans like myself hated the idea of Matt Smith coming onto DW, but in the end, you have to say "it's better than no Doctor Who". This is better than no Torchwood.

  • I want Torchwood agents. Not bloody CIA agents.I thought it was gonna be a what the CIA can't handle Torchwood can type deal. There better be more than 2 torchwood people there, Jack and Gwen. Be we need some new ones.

  • I loved Torchwood because unlike American TV shows I could never figure out what was about to happen. I was constantly surprised. Now I am seriously worried that it will be Americanized and will no longer surprise me. Please DO NOT try to change the show to attract more Americans. There are already tons of Torchwood and Doctor Who fans in America who love the shows they way they are!

  • Anytime successful and wonderful British Series get "americanized", they suddenly turn to glitzy trash. Torchwood goes Miami Vice is NOT what I'd want to see blossom out of this arrangement! But Americans can only make one kind of show, so my worries will escalate until I see the result. Fingers crossed, but I'm worried.

  • @CanadianKeiffer Well, no that's not true. We make GREAT shows... and then promptly cancel them when they're successful.

  • "john barrowman, quiet man"

  • The more I've read/seen of Miracle Day, the more I want to cry. I miss MY Torchwood, the proper one, set in Cardiff, filmed in Cardiff. Not this newfangled OTT glorified American Torchwood. RIP Torchwood, because you're not the same anymore.

  • I feel that I'm not going to like Rex in fact i probably wont like most of theamerican cast

  • I WANNA MARRY EVE MYLES NOW Please!!!!! <3<3<3

I hate that I don't have Starz channel.

  • @chrisindapurplehouse cardiac is a muscle in the human body

  • @Tom96brazendale piss off i know its the heart you douche bag shes talking about cardiff the place but shes too retarded to understand where that is so shes confused it with cardiac you can see in his face he has no clue what the fuck shes talking about so dont try and be patronising you cunt have even ever watched the show

  • As American myself, I just hope that Davies has not gone ALL HOLLYWOOD and Americanized TW! You cannot just break the Britishness of Doctor Who/Welshness of TW and turn it into something else. TW is already established in the Doctor Who mythos so don't go mucking around with it and changing its style and attitude. That would be an injustice. TW is Doctor Who's older lewd and crazy uncle. That's how I've always seen it.

  • @jrice73 I LOVE YOU. You've just summarized my feelings about it PERFECTLY!! I'm really scared it will lose the Britishness :/ I've lost a little bit of faith in Russel T Davies ever since he killed Ian :(

  • @jrice73 It will always belong with Doctor Who :P:P <3

  • @jrice73 --I´m crossing my fingers! But the fact that Torchwood isn´t being filmed in the Cardiff is a scary thought. I wonder if he´lll still be able to keep the sexual tension going. American are more frisky about sex, especially homosex.

  • Cardiac? Does that stupid bitch mean he ends up in Cardiff? Someone please kill her.

  • am massively annoyed at the fact that Starz are taking totally credit for this show, even tho this is the 4TH SERIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i actually read this on the internet "Torchwood: Miricle Day - A Starz Original Production" and i actually blew a casket -_-

  • @niobium789 Starz isn't even a proper channel and all the shows it has are total shit anyway

  • @niobium789 That IS a bit annoying... though I think they mean it in a different way. The PRODUCTION of it is original, like basis of the story, MOST of the characters, the money for production is all Starz... that kind of stuff. I'm sure they know who to thank for being able to make it though. >_< *glares at Starz*

  • @niobium789 I'm here sharpening my fork and lighting my torch as we speak.

  • @niobium789 Starz can take credit for helping a great show that may never have returned without their help.

  • @sammycut1 wtf are you talking about?? Torchwood was sooo successful with Children of Earth. It would have defo come back just that America wouldn't be trying to take so much credit for it

  • @niobium789 Starz is only taking credit the same way SciFi took credit for their original episodes of Stargate SG1 (they too billed SG1 as a "SciFi Original Production). The new episodes ARE a Starz Original Production as they are the ones who are footing a large part of the bill. They aren't saying they created the show; just that they are the producers of the eps that are premiering on their network.

  • @niobium789 Starz does a lot of reruns. When Starz produces a show they call it an original series. It should not offend the Brits since "series" is the word used for "season". I am just greatful that they kept the show alive and brought back Gwen and Jack and made this more international.

  • @FishOutOfWtr11 i completely agree with you + i love american shows anyway (i'm british) so this should be awesome

  • @niobium789 Be happy without starz it wouldn't have happened.

  • @niobium789 But it is a Starz production. It's being coproduced by both company. The primary shooting took place in Los Angeles.

  • @niobium789 It is rather unfortunate that Starz is taking credit though it was a co-production between Starz and BBC Wales. However, Julie Gardner stated in an interview that, "At heart, the show remains the same...we haven't been asked to change it, we haven't been asked to be American." John Barrowman even stated that the heart of the show will be the same only it will be "bigger and better...edgier" These statements helped stave off my skepticism and I'm looking forward to this new season.

  • @magikalme I'm trusting them :D Julie and John :D They love the how it was and they know WHAT WE THE FANS FROM THE BEGINNING LOVES:D John would never do anything against that..trusting him...but I'm a bit mad at Starz ..

  • @niobium789 i agree, i told my dad this and he said "well if starz don't make many original series then it make's scence to call it a starz original series, but yes it is a bit much", well i checked and i counted about 10 original series, someone also commented that there would be more sex, starz also did "sparticus blood and sand", if it will be like that i will never be able to watch it with my dad and not be embarised, and will not be able take it seriously.

  • @niobium789 Thats most likely called 'being too sensitive' - Say thankyou to Starz as its very unlikely the BBC would have found the cash for another season

  • @niobium789 the expression is 'blew a gasket', but I agree. They keep saying "Starz original series" and it's pretty annoying. But it's not that bad really, I'm just glad that they brought it back. :D

  • Don't lose your accent Eve! Don't be one of those disgusting actors who fake a foul American twang (Zeta Jones, I mean you!)

  • @martang66 That is EXACTLY what I was thinking.

  • what the heck was that noise at the start?

  • Comment removed

  • @Le3sH4 They said it's John Barrowman :D yeah, Torchwood....

  • Arhh !!! I love torchwood .. cant wait to see the new series !!

  • Now, now, NOW.......I WANT IT NOW!!!!! Loooooooove TORCHWOOD SOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!

  • Yes! Soooo looking forward to Miracle Day.
