My dad passed away ay the age of 49 only 7 month ago. Every time I think of him I can't hold back the tears! I never thought it would happen to my family and now I don't know how to handle it well.

I know I'm not the only.. It's just so hard sometimes. When you nkow you can't change anything.

a butterfly to means a lot. i had to leave this house for my daddy to let go and pass on. he held on as long as i was there.he was nonresponsive...not opening eyes or moving. but made noises. i remember as i told him goodbye and how much i love him and what he means to me...his noises got louder..it was exruciating...i just said, we have to say goodbye daddy. i want you to find peace. as i walked out, i thought of him like a butterfly..i had to let him be free from pain.

I lost both of my parents. my mom when i was small, my dad just 4 months ago. he had cancer, i helped take care of him and saw him through to the end. losing him was my worst fear come true. im his only child. i will tell others who lost their parent young what my dad told me in his last words...."nobody is gonna love as much as i have loved you. i love you and you love me. you are my energy." i think its true for all parents who have a child...you're their energy

I lost my dad 4 years ago 2 days after thanks giving and like 2 weeks before my 12th birthday. This year was way hard my fathers 4th year of not being here was on thanksgiving. it's never happenend to me, but 6 years ago uncle died when my cousins were 6 and 8, to see them and there mum change and get upset really got to me, my little cousin would have mood swings, i remember her getting angry at something and screaming at me, telling me I was glad he was dead, all i could say was 'actualy i'm not, I pray every night for him' she just paused and broke down. I wouldn't able to take it!

Its raw for me I lost my dad just this past oc 31st not a moment goes by i don't cry see his face hear his voice . I am fearful I will forget that voice . ;( if i did I could forget him. but I know I will never forget him !
