I love Melissa's version of this. Melissa sounds like she owns the song and It sounds forced by Carrie. Just an honest opinion.

I think it's gutsy of her to sing this... she and carrie were both on the fourth season of Idol together... melissa was eliminated during the top 75 whereas carrie went on to win... I like Melissa's version is gorgeous too though

Comparing the two would be like comparing a rock song to a country song. Each of them have a different style and tone. No one can sing it better than Carrie. Carrie's voice is more powerful, and much sweeter. Carrie had to perform the song brand new with no base to go by. This girl here already had a base by hearing an already established song. So, I don't see how that is much of a fair comparison.

This girl has nothing on Carrie.

funny you should say that Becasue carrie ran Melissa into the ground during Season 4 of American Idol where they both participated... Melissa made it as far as the top 75... Carrie won... so whose sings circles around who???

Carrie Underwood is also a professional singer and Melissa does have something going for her. She already has a single out. don't get me wrong Carrie is my favorite female vocalist but Melissa did a great job and i love most the singers from nashville star cause it's a lot of real country music. American Idol is over rated.

OK maybe over rated wasnt the word i was looking for. they get more publicity than nashville star though and you dont even have to be able to play an intstument on american idol. and like i said carrie is my favorite female country singer of all time i have nothing against her so. i'm just melissa did a great job on this song and on the show and nashville start is over looked. and i dont know about 2 top country starts coming from AI. Bucky Covington also came from AI.

yeah well the singers on nashville star also never have to deal with themes... and they get to sing their strongest genre of music each week... really the two are quite equal in difficulty but the talent on Idol is much stronger then that of Nashville Star
