That IS Fred. He just looks different now. The new guy is Johnn Nolan who's not actually new. He was the lead guitarist/background vocalist for Tell All Your Friends. Shaun Cooper was the bassist. He's also back in the band so you could say the original Tell All Your Friends lineup is back again.

Which record? This one? Because John didn't record on any of the recording sessions of the Where You Want to Be, Louder Now or New Again records. He only did the Tell All Your Friends and the recent self-titled Taking Back Sunday recording sessions. Same with Shaun Cooper. Matt Rubano did the bass on Where You Want to Be, Louder Now and New Again. Fred Mascherino did Where You Want to Be and Louder Now. Matthew Fazzi only did New Again. Adam, Eddie and Mark have done all of them.

Not "auto-tune":: It's called "pitch correction". The band used it because they are in fact recording a live DVD and it makes sure when they hit a sour note it is automatically fixed, making for a better, more professional sounding live DVD recording. A live performance is one take, while an actual studio recording of a song can be hundreds until the band get it right. No band is perfect.

If he took vocal lessons with a great professional, saw a doctor for his vocal chords that

sound horrible most likely from a combination of : bad singing method, heavy cigarette smoking. then possibly

Tbh i'd let them off with the autotune, as good as adams voice is only a god could hit every note in this song near the end of a live set while playing gig after gig. sometimes you gotta take in mind when watching bands live theve had loads of shows before the one youve seen and vocal chords are just like any other instrument, they get worn and tired.
